Liam had gotten rid of the card, but it did not seem as if the card was ready to be gotten rid of just yet.
He pulled his hand back, and his stomach dropped when he saw the same black card sitting in his purse, the golden symbols glinting under the dim light.
"What the—? I threw this away!"
Liam looked around, half-expecting the teenager to jump out from a corner and laugh at him, but the shop was empty. Frowning, he marched over to the trash can to check. Sure enough, the card wasn't there.
"This is ridiculous. Stay there this time"
He muttered, heading to the dumpster outside. He tossed the card into the bin with a little more force than necessary, watching as it disappeared among the other trash.
Feeling slightly more at ease, Liam locked up the shop and hopped onto his bike to head home.
