Zane led them toward an abandoned school building near the academy grounds. 

The once-grand structure now stood in eerie silence, its windows shattered, its walls worn and cracked with time. 

Moonlight barely reached the interior, casting long, jagged shadows along the exterior like grasping fingers. 

A cold breeze swept through the corridors, carrying with it the scent of dust and something else—something old and forgotten.

Liam felt it immediately.

The place was pulsing with magic.

Not just the usual residual traces of spells that lingered in most places with a magical history. This was something active. Something unnatural.

Seraphina stopped beside him, eyes flickering with intrigue. 

"Well, this is promising. Looks like we will find something here after all."

Zane smirked in a 'I am superior' manner.

"Told you we'd find something here. Now, let's head inside and try to find more stuff."
