5 Meeting future parents in law

A FEW HOURS LATER

XAVIER'S POINT OF VIEW:

The moment I stepped through the massive doors of the throne room, I could feel the weight of my discovery pressing on me. I had found her. My Luna. The one I had been searching for. The one my soul had been bound to, and yet, she was not here with me. I was furious. Furious that she had run from me. Furious that she hadn't immediately recognized what we were, what we could be. But I wouldn't give up. I wouldn't let her slip away.

My parents, King Alex and Queen Sophia were waiting for me. My father, sitting tall on his throne, raised an eyebrow as he saw me enter.

"Xavier." He said, his voice steady but laced with curiosity. "You look… different. Did you find her?"

I wasn't about to sugarcoat this. I wasn't going to hold back. I had waited long enough.

"Yes." I said, my voice low and thick with emotion. "I found her. And she's mine."

My mother's eyes widened, her hand flying to her chest in shock.

"You've found her?" Her voice was filled with a mixture of disbelief and hope. "After all this time?"

I didn't answer her immediately. Instead, I stepped forward, my gaze never leaving them.

"She's beautiful. Dark hair, nearly black, and eyes her eyes are a deep, warm brown. But it's not just her looks. It's the way she moves, the way she carries herself. She's perfect. "I said.

My father's eyes narrowed, his gaze sharp as ever.

"You're sure?"Dad asked.

I clenched my jaw, my fists tightening at my sides.

"I'm sure. The moment I saw her, I knew. I could feel it. The bond. The pull. She's mine."I said.

My mother stepped forward, her voice trembling slightly.

"But why hasn't she come with you? Why isn't she here?"She asked.

I felt the anger rise again, hot and furious.

"She ran from me. She didn't understand. She didn't feel it the way I did. But she will. I'll make her see it. I'll make her understand that she's mine."I said.

My father's gaze was piercing, but I could see the approval flicker in his eyes. He knew what this meant. He knew how important this was.

"You've waited for this moment, Xavier. But you must be careful. She may not accept it so easily."He said."Especially if she was rejected before meeting you."

"I don't care." I growled, my hands clenched so tightly I could feel my claws threatening to appear. "She will. She has no choice. She's mine, and I'll make sure she knows it."

"You're sure she's the one? The Luna?"Mom asked.

I nodded, my voice a low, dark promise.

"She's mine. I don't care what it takes. I'll make her see that."I said.

My father stood, his eyes intense as he followed me.

"And if she doesn't come willingly?"He asked.

"She will." I repeated, my voice hard as stone. "I won't let her go. Not now. Not ever."

There was a long silence as my parents exchanged a look. My father's expression was unreadable, but I could see the approval in my mother's eyes. She understood. She knew what this meant.

"She will come around." My mother said softly, almost as if speaking to herself. "You've found her, Xavier. The one who was meant for you."

"I will make her understand. She's mine."I said.

My father's voice broke the silence, his tone firm.

"Then go. Bring her back. And be careful. Don't force her, Xavier. You can't make her love you. But you can show her that you're the one she needs."He said.

I nodded, my mind already racing with plans. I wasn't going to let her get away again. She was mine, and I would make sure she knew it.

"I will. It might take a while but she be mine."I said.

As soon as was done speaking to my parents I left the throne room. It was time to bring my bride home.

I needed to check territories around that forest. I was hopeful that meeting her in Death Forest didn't mean she was living in that hell hole. As a white knight, I myself got injured a few times there. Soon I reached Ruby's pack. The pack stood gathered in the courtyard, their eyes filled with a mix of awe and fear. My reputation as the White Knight preceded me, and I could feel their unease ripple through the air like a current. I dismounted from my horse, adjusting the dark cloak over my shoulders, and surveyed the scene. The Alpha stepped forward, his head bowed slightly in deference.

"Prince Xavier." He said, his voice measured, "It's an honor to have you visit our pack. We are at your service."He said.

I gave a curt nod, my gaze flicking over the crowd.

"I appreciate the hospitality."I replied, though my voice carried little warmth. I wasn't here for pleasantries. I was here for answers. "I trust you'll make my stay... worthwhile."

The Alpha swallowed, nodding quickly.

"Of course. Please, allow me to introduce my family." He gestured toward a woman standing beside him, his mate, I assumed, and then to a young woman with dark hair and sharp features.

"This is my daughter, Isabella." He said, his tone filled with pride. "She's the heart of our pack."

Isabella stepped forward, her smile coy as she dipped her head.

"Welcome, Your Highness." She said, her voice soft but practiced. "It's an honor to meet you."

I studied her for a moment, my wolf stirring uneasily. She was attractive, yes, but something about her felt... wrong. The bond that had been pulling me, guiding me, didn't react to her presence. Still, I forced a polite nod.

"Thank you."I said.

"We hope you'll find everything you need here. Our pack is at your disposal."Alpha said.

As he spoke, my attention was drawn to a servant passing by, carrying a small framed painting. The sight of it stopped me cold. The woman in the painting was unmistakable, dark, wavy hair, delicate features, and those eyes that see through me. It was her. My mate. I was at the right pack.
