You Can Keep Living in Delusions

Aleckin sat down on the bed. Rebecca wanted to kick him, but she had to keep up her fragile and sickly act.

After a moment of silence, Aleckin finally answered her question. He said, "I didn't mean to abandon her. But the marriage was arranged by the elders. It is completely against my will. All these years, I put up Grandpa's foolishness. Now, I need to end this meaningless marriage."

He hopes Rebecca sees his sincerity because there is this woman whom he would want to marry instead.

Listening to his explanation, Rebecca couldn't help but raise a brow as she stared at Aleckin. She asked, "Are you sure you're letting her go without getting to know her first? What if you regret divorcing her once you learn how great my cousin is? There will be no second chance once you push the divorce, Mr. Ferrero."

Rebecca's words were filled with meanings, but Aleckin deliberately overlooked them. He is only concerned that she's yet to call him by his name.
