Face the music 2

She cleared her throat and reassured, "You're correct, my dear. No need to fret. Just remain calm."

Upon hearing this, the girl with the ponytail promptly took a seat and nervously tapped her finger on the desk. The six absent students then entered the room and gazed at Olivia with interest.

They were expecting to see Mrs. Lily, but instead, they were greeted by a beautiful figure.

"If you're late for my class again, you won't be allowed to attend until the period is over. Your father will be the one to decide," Mrs. Olivia sternly warned.

Upon hearing this, Xur's body tensed up, and he quickly made his way to his seat, with his friends following suit, seemingly unaware of Orion's presence.

"I have an important announcement to make. The school is transferring all of you to HighWind Academy. I'm sure your parents or guardians have already informed you about this. This transfer only applies to those who have a system, so if you don't have one, you will not be transferred.

Now, I have been tasked with informing you about this transfer and also giving you an assignment to complete. I will also provide you with a form that needs to be filled out. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask now. I will dedicate the next two minutes to answering your questions, so the time starts now. Thank you."

She smiled warmly as she looked around the hall, making eye contact with each student while purposefully avoiding the other side of the room. She made a conscious effort to compose herself and remain professional.

If someone had told her that she would one day have a romantic encounter with a student who she would later have to face in a professional setting, she would have found it absurd.

Noticing that none of the students had raised their hands to ask questions, she felt a sense of relief. However, her smile faded when she saw Orion raise his hand, flashing an innocent smile in her direction.

Olivia suppressed her feelings of resentment as she looked at Orion, her mind drifting back to the night they had shared.

However, she quickly shook off those thoughts and adopted a serious expression, clearing her throat before speaking firmly, "Please go ahead and ask your question."

"Thank you, Mrs. Olivia. My name is Orion Xavier. I have a question: will any teachers be transferring with us? Also, how long will you be filling in for Mrs. Lily?" Orion asked with curiosity.

"Not the question I was anticipating, but to answer your inquiry, a few teachers will be transferred with us. As for Mrs. Lily, I am uncertain about the duration, but it could be for a year or possibly longer," Mrs. Olivia replied.

"Do you have any more questions?" she asked.

Orion shook his head, indicating he had no questions, before settling into his seat.

A tall, dark-skinned boy with red, spiked hair styled to look like a barbed wire—raised his hand, a smirk playing on his face. He wore a red t-shirt that matched the boldness of his attitude.

Olivia noticed him and gave a slight nod, permitting him to speak.

"Uh, you haven't told us why we're being transferred. Why are we all being sent to Highwind Academy?" he asked, his tone casual but filled with curiosity.

The rest of the class murmured in agreement, nodding their heads. It was a question on everyone's mind.

Olivia smiled softly and cleared her throat, her posture elegant as she prepared to answer.

"Well, my dear, that's something for the higher-ups to explain to you. From what I gather, students from all across the galaxy are being transferred there. But I suppose we'll just have to hope you're one of the lucky ones."

She turned around, her eyes scanning the room, as if making sure everyone was paying attention.

"Any more questions?"

"Alright, no questions then. I'll distribute the forms to everyone now, and the assignment will be shared in the group chat. Mrs. Lily has already added me, so no need to worry about that."

The group exchanged glances, a sense of unease passing between them as they remained silent, almost as if they were afraid that Mrs. Olivia had been privy to all their conversations without their knowledge. Or so they believed.

However, Olivia paid no mind to the situation, too engrossed in her own thoughts to be bothered.

After distributing the forms, she patiently waited for everyone to complete them.

Once they were done, she collected the papers and allowed the attendees to exit the hall.

As she prepared to leave herself, she heard a familiar voice clearing their throat. She turned to see who it was, there before her was Orion.

"Regarding last night, let's keep it confidential between us. Rest assured, I have everything handled," she assured him before departing.

Orion stood there, stunned. "What did she mean by saying she had everything under control?" he asked himself as he left the class.

{When she wants to let you know, she will. Now let's get your revenge. What do you say?}

"True, now I'll track them down or simply surprise them. No big deal in wasting my time."

{Since you are already leveled up, you have combat skills available, and you can use Energy Drain on them. And you are good at fighting and only need a system, so you are good to go against them. But I'm not sure about the other guy.}

'Yeah, Xur's bodyguard isn't here, and now they don't see me as a threat since they think I'm crippled. He won't be sticking close to Xur for much longer, so we strike now, just in case.'

{Good one, host.}

Orion put his hands into his trouser pocket and began to trail Xur and his gang.

He followed them until they reached an isolated building that had only one way in and out.

Entering the building, he found it eerily quiet as if everyone had disappeared. Just then, Orion heard footsteps behind him but he stood still, refusing to turn his face as he didn't want to reveal his identity yet.

"Who are you? You really have the guts to follow us? Did you think you could get away with it?" a voice demanded, belonging to Slim Shady.

Losing his patience, he ordered, "Show me your face, punk!"

Clearing his throat, Orion sighed, "If I don't, will you still beg for mercy not to be crippled? But even though I should show you my face right now, will you believe it's me?" Orion asked.

Slim Shady swallowed his spite as he gazed at the back of the intruder in front of him.

Though this intruder had the same height as Orion, the height was incredibly different.

"Hmm," he let out as he stood in a thoughtful position. Who the hell was this person? He asked himself. Isn't this person afraid he is going to die?

"Don't make me say it again," Slim Shady said with a hint of annoyance.

"Bring me your boss, and then I'll reveal my identity," Orion said with a smile.

"Fine, but you're in for it, kid," Slim Shady warned as he hurried off to fetch Xur.

Meanwhile, Orion searched for a suitable spot to sit and found an old wooden bench, where he promptly sat down and crossed his legs.
