Chapter 30: Prison Break!
Ken smiled when he thought of something.
This introductory trial allowed for more things than the eye could see; although subtly, it allowed him an advantage that he was going to use to the maximum.
The fear he had implanted in the hearts of the prisoners...
Nobody failed to hear the screams of the dark-skinned criminal; Ken made sure of that.
From the intensity of the cheers before, he guessed that the number of criminals in here shouldn't be more than a hundred.
Slightly over that would be the limit, though he wasn't entirely sure.
But with a little calculation, assuming what he deduced was true.
There should be around 30-40 cells.
20 on each side, and with the enclosed space they were in, there was no way they couldn't hear the loud screams.
In this test run, he was feared by everybody, so he should be given enough space to do what he planned to do leisurely.
This time, he wasn't planning to fight at all, just observe.
He would watch as the events happened, study the prison, know the details, and figure out the most efficient play to run on the official trial.
So he waited...
Time passed patiently, with not a single sound rising in the prison aside from the occasional moans of the dark-skinned man who was below, still enjoying his injuries.
Ken was resting above, caring less about all of this, but he wondered why there were no guards patrolling this area, especially after all the things that played out.
This was weird, almost way too weird.
It was as if...
*Click*
The cell doors opened all alone.
As if operated magically by the spirit realm's equivalent of technology.
Opening his eyes, Ken looked down to see the door opening, and his eyes caught onto something.
[They're using formations even here? Aiyaaa, this might not mean good news for you. Beware of the guards.]
Ken didn't care about this hint, as he already guessed that there could be some kind of fight, and if there was, it wouldn't be like the one he just had, where it ended before it started.
Getting down from the bed, Ken caught the dark-skinned man by his neck, and before the door could even fully open for the prisoners to run away, he threw him outside.
He did this for the sole reason that the others would leave to see him and not get in his way.
He didn't plan on wasting much time.
So he followed after the body of the dark-skinned man who started crawling.
"Uuhhh."
"Uhhh."
Again and again, he tried to speak, but he was far too injured and in pain to do so.
So by the time Ken reached him, he was too pitiful.
Pitiful enough for Ken to no longer stay as he was.
In a flash of a second, a light burst out faintly from Ken's right hand, and his entire hand had chains flowing around it like a commander from hell.
Their sheer bulkiness added a fierceness to him that nobody would expect from how he normally acted.
*Clack* *Clank*
The chain fell down on the ground slowly in a straight line; the blade scratched the stone tiles and made a sound that made one's heart stop beating and shiver at every beat.
And then, as if sentencing the man to a guillotine, he ended his suffering with a single slash to his neck.
Beheading him.
"..."
Silence ensued.
The entire prison was silent, and all prisoners could guess what happened: those who left their cells, those who saw it directly, and those who could only hear.
The dark-skinned criminal was dead.
Killed by Ken in a flash and in an almost peaceful way.
Ken could have stomped on his head, sliced him from his torso, or done anything other than beheading him.
But, as far as his morals went, he had a strict rule when it came to killing.
With a sword, never hit the face, and try to not amputate. He'd directly aim for the neck.
Out of respect for the enemy, no matter who it could be.
Morals and principles... This is what made humans different from animals.
Ken then looked to his left.
The gate to freedom, the one that allowed the prisoners to leave.
Stairs that went up all the way to somewhere and most definitely led to the exit.
They were closest to him.
His cell was 3rd in line, so without speaking a single word, he headed towards it and left the criminals speechless.
In this environment, nothing spoke more than words, and Ken's fate in their eyes was closed when he was seen as prey by Old Michael, the second strongest sicko in this circle.
So for him to end up this badly spoke more than words could.
Only after Ken was out of sight did the first prisoner rush out, caring for nothing else but...
"Freedom!!!!" Once these words were heard, the image of Michael's mutilated body left the mind of every single individual.
Ken was no longer here, and there was no way anyone would give up on a free exit ticket.
The silent prison was once again filled with earth-shaking noise as the prisoners fought and punched each other to be the first to leave after Ken.
The very reason why Ken played the spectacle.
He didn't know if the exit was close to him or not, so he did the best thing, and it went farther than just saving him trouble.
*Dum* *Dum* *Dum*
"Get Out of My Way!" As the prisoners fought each other, a colossal body started thrashing and launching everybodyas he even stepped on Michael's head while passing, not caring about him at all.
His eyes were set on leaving, and his expression was that of someone who had no plans of leaving his old ways.
The same expression every prisoner had, even those who became victims.
'''Today, Nobody is going to stop me from leaving!'''
