The Prince of Necromancy

The guy with the purple hair and eyes wearing black cloak descended with his section in one of the clearings at the Western Area of The Forest of the Lost.

"Reformidant!" the other students in black held their broomsticks high in the air and upon transforming them, they attached their keychains on their leatherbelts.

"Listen! All of you! Listen! You should have known the rules by now, Ravenals. I do not repeat explanations I have given already. "

An old professor wearing a rectangular eye glasses and with strict-looking eyes said as he went by the tent at the center of the clearing. He then looked back after a while.

"What are you waiting for? Tomorrow? Begin your hunt now! And, If I may announce as well, no Ravenals die in this small activities. When you do, it means you are not worthy of your cloaks. Run now! Don't waste my time!"

"Hey old man Gin Dor, do you have some bonus for us in case we got the highest number of cores?" The guy with the purple shouted to the old professor.

"Bonus, eh? Do well with your duties first and I might reconsider. Go now! Show this old man what you got nestlings! And don't be Slowpokes!"

"Tsk. Ever impatient are we? But better be prepared none-the-less old man! I will make sure to collect the rewards we deserve. Make sure they are worth it." The purple-haired guy started running to the forest before abruptly stopping on his path.

"Hey, you two blockheads! I know you're just getting credits here, but don't make it too obvious! You free loaders don't even contribute anything, atleast don't fall behind!"

"Roger Jui!" his two mates replied and followed his direction with a bit of panick. Their shock is very visible in every step as they look like their gonna trip over any minute.

Jui Reeper is one of the best mages from Ravenals. He is dubbed to be the "Prince of Necromancy" by those who know him and by those who saw his skills with their own eyes.

One of the stories goes to say that he is a genius mage because he was able to conjure one undead soldier by the age of seven. Throughout the years, with guides from different masters, practice and by reading a lot of books, he can now summon a dozen undead soldiers in an instant. He can even command them at the same to attack different target. One can say he is a very strong mage despite just currently having a mono-swirl mark.

Dual-swirl professors or mages who tried this type magic before was said to be able to have summoned 18 soldiers at a time. And with such a high number, they cannot even control them that well to attack different targets.

The group entered the forest at the deeper part of the western area. As they continue to move forward,out of nowhere, a ball of flame suddenly burst from their front. They almost got caught in it.

*Wrowosshhh

"What the....Vocare!" A surge of purple energy erupted from Jui's wand as he focus on his spell. Suddenly, a purple magic circle with a hint of black emerged from the ground. An undead soldier wearing a helmet, and carrying a sword and a shield on its hands immediately appeared in front of them. It received the fire ball using its shield. The flame bursted as it hit, but it did no damage at all. The undead soldier just sweep his shield towards the side, and the flame went out like a candle blown away by a heavy wind.

"You think you can cause some damage with that, Flame Red Salamanders? You have to release more power if you dare!" Jui shouted as five of Salamanders appeared and cornered them.

"Attack and fight for me!" Jui commanded his summon as his hands were. The undead soldier run towards one of the Salamanders.

*cling clang cling

Its sword clashed with the Salamander's hardened scales. The Salamander fought back by using its hardened-tail like whip.

"Vocare!" Jui lifted his wand once more. as purple energy surges from it. Without any sense of difficulty, four more summoning circle appeared on the ground. From each a total of four more undead soldiers appeared

"Take down those weaklings! Don't make me wait!"

The undead soldiers immediately run towards the remaining Salamanders and clash their swords with them.

*Cling Clang Cling Clang.

The sound of fighting echoes in the air as if two soldiers are fighting each other.

"What now free-loaders?Are you just gonna watch in there and enjoy the show? How about for a change, you move those lazy arms and might as well cast your petty spells?" Jui glared at his two male teammates.

"Roger,Jui! Uhmm...ah...Wate....water ball!"one of the mages struggled until a white energy swirl form around of the wand he is using. From the tip of it, tiny little droplets gather until atlast water ball is formed .

"Ggg.g..go!"

The water ball flew from the mage's wand and hit one of the Salamanders. The water turned into vapor as it hit the Lizard's heated skin.

"That's it? What the.....for real?!" Jui started protesting.

"How about you?" he then glared towards the other mage.

"Uhmmm...well let me...uhmm...Ice...Ice blades!" The other mage focused his spell. 5 ice blades form led around himm

"Go!"

He focused his wand to one of the Salamanders. The ice blades shoots and rotates like a boomerang from his wand to one of the Salamanders. Upon impact with the hardened scales, the ice blades bursted into ice crystal before scattering around the ground.

"Tsk..come on. Why did I even bother to give you chances? I thought might be a little bit more useful than the rest of the class. Seems like I wore some dirty eyeglasses." Jui said with disappointed and irritated tone.

"Hey, Free-Loaders! Watch and learn!Do it like this."

Jui stand in front of them with his right hand extended on air as he holds his wand. His body is slightly-tilted towards the side, but his head is facing the front-gazing at the Salamanders.

"Gladii Gelida!"

A surge of purple energy swirls around Jui, his mono-swirls mark glows. From the air, mist of ices seemed to gather then from every distance. The air grow cold as the spell continues.

*Shinggg..

The mists formed into 5 solid Ice Swords circling around Jui. He then waved his wand like a beacon giving a signal to attack. Then without any hint of doubt, the swords came flying separately towards the salamanders. Their target? The chests.

*Blurkkkkrr. Psshhh

The Ice Swords pierced the Flame Red Salamanders on their chest. A mixture of steam and snow burst from the clash. The Swords are so cold that its ice started to crawl a little towards the Salamanders Flaming skins.

*Kwarrrrr!

The Salamanders let out a loud sound as they feel the pain from within their core.

"Finish them, soldiers! Leave nothing alive!"

The undead soldiers mercilessly attacked the Salamanders once more. Barrage of sword dances were done.

The Salamanders on the other hand did not surrendered yet. They used their tails to smash the soldiers, but the soldiers used their shields to deflect the attack. Then with a reflex like response, and with one quick swing, the soldiers cut the Salamanders' tails.

"Finish them off!"

Jui commanded, his arm stretched like a general commanding his army. As if understanding his commands, the soldier slashed the salamanders head in sync.

Lava-like blood burst from the salamanders neck before they disappeared into thin air. Yellow glowing cores fell on the forest floor.

"Pick them. And let's move forward."

Jui lifted his wand and with a purple and black glowing circles, the soldiers started to sink to the ground.

"Uhmmm..thanks for the save, Jui" one of the two Ravenals said.

"Tsk. If you are really thankful, better hurry in becoming useful."

Jui walked pass them as he went deeper towards the forest.

"Faster, you free loaders.I still yet have to do some more work to receive some bonus from that Old man Gin Dor! Don't dare delay me!"

"Coming, Jui!" His two teammates followed him from behind upon putting the cores to their magic pocket. They traverse the forest.l to look for more monsters to hunt.

From afar, Jui's team spotted another group of salamanders bathing under the sun on an area with a lot of big boulders of rocks.

"It's nice that you are not so hard to find my preys. Vocare!" once more, a surge of purple energy glowed from Jui's wand and from the ground, five undead soldiers came out and immediately run towards the Flame Red Salamanders for a surprise attack.

"Frozen.... Water...ball!"

Jui looked back from the spell casters. The two free loaders behind him conjured a combination magic.

*Znnggg

The giant frozen water ball went passed Jui ,his hair waiving a little from the wind caused by it.

It then hit one of the Flame Red Salamanders in the head. The salamander went flying towards another giant rock upon impact of with the Ice Ball.

*Boooggssshh.

*Kwarrrr!

The salamander let out a final call before if fell to ground and started to fade from vision. From where it was, a yellow colored core is left.

"There you go free-loaders! That's how you should hunt! Show me some more of this interesting stuff! Haha! And I might consider you as my assistants."

Jui laugh as his glare went back to the Salamanders. "Hunt like how real Ravenal hunts! Go and catch the preys!"
