Chapter 41: Tang San’s Self-inflicted Consequences, Yu Xiaogang Admits Defeat

"Damn it!"

Watching Tang San's actions, Yu Xiaogang's expression changed dramatically.

The hidden weapon Tang San had used was an absolute killing move!

Forget a child like Yao Xuan—even a seasoned Soul Master might struggle to react in time!

If Tang San truly killed Yao Xuan, the consequences would be catastrophic.

Premeditated murder of another Soul Master would result in a warrant issued by the Heaven Dou Empire!

And as his teacher, Yu Xiaogang would not escape responsibility.

At this moment, Yu Xiaogang could only hope that Yao Xuan would survive Tang San's deadly attack.

"Oh? Is this a hidden weapon?" Yao Xuan sneered, his eyes narrowing as he looked at the four Bone-Piercing Needles shooting toward him.

"Tang San, didn't you just proudly declare that you would defeat me fair and square? And now you resort to such underhanded tactics?"

With a flick of his fingers, Yao Xuan intercepted the incoming projectiles effortlessly, catching all four Bone-Piercing Needles between his fingers. Twirling them idly, he mocked, "What a joke."

"Impossible! That's impossible! How could you block the Bone-Piercing Nails?"

Tang San's face turned ashen, his eyes wide with disbelief. He murmured in despair, "This… This is my strongest hidden weapon…"

Even his best weapon had been rendered useless. Yao Xuan had stopped it as casually as swatting away a fly.

Who was this Yao Xuan? How could he possess such terrifying strength?

"This Tang San acts all righteous on the surface, but he's actually despicable!"

"Yeah, what a hypocrite! Smiling on the outside while hiding a knife behind his back!"

"Better stay away from people like him, or you'll end up being stabbed in the back!"

The students watching from a distance began whispering among themselves, their gazes filled with disdain.

At that moment, Yao Xuan spoke again.

"Tang San, since you love using hidden weapons so much, how about I let you taste their power for yourself?"

With a flick of his wrist, Yao Xuan hurled the Bone-Piercing Needles toward Tang San's limbs.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

The sharp whistling of the projectiles cut through the air. Tang San, unable to react in time, felt a searing pain as the nails pierced through his hands and feet, embedding themselves deeply.

"Ahhh!"

The excruciating pain was unbearable. Tang San's face twisted in agony, and he let out a guttural scream, his body convulsing violently.

"You're too noisy. Shut up!"

Yao Xuan sneered coldly as he strode toward Tang San, kicking him to the ground. Placing a foot on Tang San's neck, Yao Xuan applied pressure, cutting off his airflow.

Tang San's screams turned to weak, choking noises as his face flushed red and his body twitched uncontrollably.

"Enough, Yao Xuan! Stop! I'll admit defeat on his behalf!"

Yu Xiaogang, watching the scene unfold, panicked and shouted desperately.

"Yu Xiaogang, your surrender means nothing!" Yao Xuan replied with a faint smile, increasing the force on Tang San's neck. Tang San's movements grew weaker as his breathing became fainter.

"Yao Xuan, I beg you. Tang San only lost control momentarily. Please spare him!" Yu Xiaogang's voice now carried a hint of pleading.

"Well, since you're so sincere…" Yao Xuan's tone softened slightly, a smirk forming on his face. "I'll consider sparing him—but only if you admit that you're a fraud, a useless charlatan who relies on tricks to get by, and kneel to apologize on Tang San's behalf."

"Impossible! I'll never admit to such slander, nor will I kneel before you!" Yu Xiaogang's face flushed with anger as he vehemently refused.

"Oh? In that case…" Yao Xuan's smile turned icy. "It seems you don't care whether your prized disciple survives. Let me remind you, with my position in the Spirit Hall, even if I kill Tang San, there won't be any consequences for me."

His words were a sharp dagger to Yu Xiaogang's confidence. Looking at the weakening Tang San, Yu Xiaogang hesitated.

If Tang San died, how could he prove his theories to the world? How could he reclaim his dignity and establish his legacy?

Clenching his fists so tightly that his nails dug into his palms, Yu Xiaogang finally made up his mind.

"Fine! Yao Xuan, just let him breathe! I'll do as you say!"

Seeing Yu Xiaogang's submission, Yao Xuan gestured to a companion to begin recording the scene with a crystal orb. He lessened the pressure on Tang San's neck, allowing him to gasp for air.

Tang San, struggling to breathe, glared at Yao Xuan with hatred burning in his eyes. I'll have my revenge someday, he vowed silently, recounting the hidden weapons and second martial soul he had yet to unleash.

"Yao Xuan," Yu Xiaogang finally said, his voice trembling with humiliation. "I, Yu Xiaogang, am nothing but a useless fraud. I apologize for my arrogance and for Tang San's transgressions. Please, spare him!"

He spoke each word with gritted teeth, his head bowed low in abject submission.
