"Sign the papers. This is my final request," I said with an icy tone.
Miguel pleaded desperately, "I can't! I won't abandon you, even if it costs me my life! I've been falsely accused and hit rock bottom. Instead of supporting me, you're leaving?"
"Sherry, is this how you show the love you professed? How can you go back on everything you've said?"
I couldn't help but chuckle at his audacity. "Miguel, after six years together, I've finally seen just how brazen you can be."
"Caught in the act, yet you act innocent," I remarked sarcastically.
"Have I broken my promises? You know full well the sacrifices I've made for you all these years."
"Your job, your parents' home, your fancy car, the expensive meals you enjoy—none of it would exist without me."
"And all you've given our family is our daughter. Yet you were willing to deny her the life-saving operation she needs, all for that awful woman outside. You've lost your mind."
