IVAN’S POV:
I couldn’t help but think: why does my doll trust me so much? Why doesn’t my doll fear me? Why isn’t my doll opposing the decisions I took for her?
All these questions are running inside my mind while I’m still torturing one of our backstabbers, and my doll is sitting in front of us, shaking, with tears rolling down her cheeks.
Knowing that this isn’t going as I planned, I stopped torturing him and turned towards her. She immediately understood that I wanted her to do this. She didn’t get up from her place as she was frozen, looking at the half-dead body in the chair opposite her.
I forced her up by holding her wrist tightly but not enough to hurt her. She sobbed a little but didn’t fight me. I know this is very different for her from what happened before, as this time, it’s me who is going to torture and kill the man—someone she trusts so much and doesn’t fear.
