A village came into sight. It had an odd ancient setting, as its residents mostly dressed in bead-like materials. Most of them had odd piercings, with different bead ornaments hanging on various regions of their bodies. To top it off, many of them were covered in runic tattoos that seemed to glow with a faint light.
Their streets were filled with children running through the streets, having fun. Though the village was odd, the atmosphere was peaceful. Another thing that stood out was their unique arrangement when building their houses. Their houses were built in precise locations, all arranged to form a circular maze-like pattern. This place was none other than the village of the Minoans.
At the heart of the village, which was the center of the circular maze formed by the buildings, stood the palace of their head chief. Calling it a palace, however, didn't quite fit. It was a small abode made of straw-like materials. It had no windows and only one door-shaped opening. Though it looked like this on the outside, the inside was a huge conference-styled hall. How they achieved this was unknown, but if one were to enter all the small hut-like buildings in the village, they would encounter the same phenomenon: small on the outside, wide on the inside.
Within the hall, countless Minoans sat, all their attention trained on the debate happening at the very front.
"Chief, this matter is of utmost importance. These modern humans, as Kalikun said, are dangerous. We have to strike while the iron is hot. We can't waste any more time. I say we attack now," a well-built man said in the front row, making his plea to the chief.
"It's not that simple, Kala. A lot of ancient ones are awake this time. We have to be cautious," an elderly lady sitting beside Kala responded.
"No, I agree with Kala. As Kalikun said, the man he fought had the power to clash with him and even had the ability to escape. That man was surely a Savant, and the timing of their meeting suggests that the new breeds might be wiser than we thought. It's better we nip them in the bud," another man interjected, supporting Kala.
Right now, all the high members of their tribe were gathered in this very building to discuss Kalikun's encounter with Jayde and how they should respond to such a growing threat.
The head chief sat at the very front of the hall, on what seemed to be a throne made of bones. The bones were filled with energy veins that pulsed rhythmically. He sat there, oblivious to the commotion happening in front of him. Seeing this chief, one would call him weird, as his body looked like that of an eight-year-old. He had gleaming silver hair that cascaded down to his foot even as he sat. Unlike the rest, he wasn't covered with tattoos or piercings. Instead, he was dressed in a bright emerald robe.
He sat on his high throne of bones, which fit him perfectly. His elbow rested on an arm of the throne, his head resting on his wrist, while his other hand rested on the other arm, tapping rhythmically, following the synergy of the pulsing bone veins.
It was a majestic sight to behold. The commotion continued in the hall as they all argued whether to attack or not. That was until the chief opened his eyes, followed by pin drop silence. The chief's eyes were a mystery, beautiful, a blend of colors radiating a faint multicolored hue.
Right now, if Jayde was here to see this enchanting head priest, he would be terrified out of his mind. Why, one might wonder? Who knows, maybe it has something to do with the eight pulsing pentagon-shaped runes that appeared in the atmosphere the moment he opened his eyes. Yes, the chief was at the eighth plane of the mental realm.
"Send the Blade of Nine to the island where the human was spotted. They are to sweep the island clean. No, in fact, I want the island off the map," his voice commanded, eerily sounding like multiple people of different ages and genders speaking at once.
At the sound of his command, all the Minoans in the room bowed. Their voices rang through the hall as they all chanted the same thing:
"WE LIVE AND BREATHE TO CARRY OUT YOUR COMMAND!"
Following which, they dismissed themselves in an orderly manner, leaving the Minoan chief alone. Alone in the room, his eyes finally displayed some emotion as his face was painted with curiosity. He was really curious. Did the new breeds really catch on, or was their presence on the island just a coincidence? He sighed. Either way, he couldn't allow them to exist in this region. Their presence would surely impede his plans, and that, he couldn't allow. This was a plan set in motion for over a thousand years now.

The portal to the Minoan village surged as nine silhouettes emerged from it, bolting into the distance without pausing for a split second. Their direction? One could already guess: they were heading straight to Jayde's island.

Meanwhile, in another region far in the ocean, Jayde could be seen making his way through the cold embrace of the ocean, moving at a mind-boggling speed. In truth, with his new increase in comprehension, he could walk through the shadows, making his way to the island. But this technique, though fast, couldn't compare to his speed in the ocean when adding his advanced telekinesis to the equation.
As the human mind progresses circle after circle, plane after plane, it unlocks unique traits like telekinesis, telepathy, or in some cases, it enhances spatial awareness. Though Jayde called his own trait telekinesis, it wasn't really that. His mind traits don't help him control objects around him. No, his traits only work on his body. Using his mental intent on his body, he could accomplish various feats such as reducing his weight or increasing it. There are even cases when he uses it to change the trajectory of his attack mid-way.
So right now in the ocean, it could be said Jayde was as light as a feather. Pairing that with his speed, even matching a speedboat was within reach.
Jayde moved, avoiding encounters with beasts and various abominations at the bottom of the sea. He was trying to get home as fast as possible, moving both cautiously and stealthily. Well, that was until something caught his attention.
[Deep Sea Mantis (Mutant)]
[Talent: Quick Strike (FFF+)]
[Physical: 7th Circle]
[Mental: 7th Circle]
A gigantic sea mantis could be seen in the distance. What interested Jayde wasn't its mutant status, nor its stats. What drew his attention was precisely its talent. Jayde's eyes shone with a greedy light as he thought, 'I guess it's time I claim my legacy weapon.'
