Chapter 18 Setting the God of Dragon's Trial

Wednesday, December 27, 2034.

Devil's Planet, Dragon's Ocean, Dragon Island, 10:00 a.m.

Three thousand dragons raised their heads, taking a deep breath and breathing dragon's breathing. Some dragons were breathing fire-breathing. Some dragons were breathing ice-breathing. Some dragons were breathing sand-breathing.

Amelia was breathing windblade-breathing. Three thousand and one windblades flew unto the cloud. The cloud was gone with wind like fading smoke. As three thousand and one windblades crushed the cloud.

"Your majesty! My windblade-breathing increases one more windblade. I can't believe I can improve my dragon's breathing by exercise." Amelia whispered with delight, looking unto Morgana. She thought. 'If I could increase one more windblade each time, one day I'll improve my windblade-breathing to one million windblades.'

"Perseverance is one of characteristics for the stronger. I wish you could keep training. Hold on and have faith, you'll be the stronger one day. I promise you." Morgana promised, looking upon dragons. She thought. 'Dragons begin truly honoring me as their queen. Because I help them improve their flight and dragon's breathing skills.'

"Your majesty!" Three thousand dragons bowed down their heads, honoring Morgana as their queen. They honored the stronger, but they thought with lewdness. 'Morgana is our queen, but we still have our king.'

"Your queen is touched by your loyalty. I'm gonna set the God of Dragon's Trial. Someone can pass the trial, he can inherit the God of Dragon's power!" Morgana announced, looking upon dragons. She thought. 'It's time to select an inheritor for the God of Dragon.'

"Thank your majesty! You're the most brilliant and the most beautiful Goddess in the universe!" Gael who heard the news and woke up from napping, he flew out his palace, flattering Morgana and waiting for queen's instruction. He thought. 'How could I miss my opportunity to inherit the God of Dragon's power?'

"Hello, Grayson!" Morgana opened a portal, summoning Grayson who was searching for the dragon palace ruin. She thought. 'Grayson is the guard at Dragon Palace Ruin. How could I allow him miss the God of Dragon's Trial?'

"Your majesty!" Grayson flew out portal, soluting Morgana. He thought. 'I thought I could escape from Morgana. I was wrong.'

Grayson's bone dragon body was more massive than any dragons here. His bone dragon body was an ancient divine dragon's remains. He was a bone dragon, but he was more powerful than any dragons here.

"This is Grayson, a guard." Morgana introduced, introducing Grayson to dragons. She thought. 'It's been one million years. Grayson was forgotten.'

"I'm Grayson, the guard at Dragon Palace Ruin.' Grayson introduced, looking upon dragons. He thought. 'One million years was long enough to erase the traces of a civilization. I'm afraid nobody could recognize me.'

"The God of Dragon's Trial has one rule only. Someone can defeat Grayson, he will be the God of Dragon's inheritor. If nobody could defeat Grayson, Grayson will be the God of Dragon's inheritor." Morgana announced, looking upon dragons. She thought. 'I'm expecting who might be the God of Dragon's inheritor.'

"Thank your majesty! You're the most brilliant and the most beautiful Goddess in the universe!" Grayson praised with delight, flattering Morgana after hearing the rule. He thought. 'Defeat me? How could anybody possibly defeat me?'

"Your majesty! The God of Dragon's Trial has to be fair! How could we possibly defeat a God?" Gael rejected, feeling powerless, when he was faced with Grayson. He thought. 'The God of Dragon's Trial has to be fair for every dragon!'

"How could you dare doubt queen's decision?" Grayson threatened, two orange flames in eyes, looking unto Gael. He thought. 'I'm the strongest dragon here. I'm supposed to be the God of Dragon's inheritor.'

"How could I dare doubt queen's decision? The rule is good, but I'm gonna challenge you in fishing. If you dared not accept my challenge, you will be considered as defeated." Gael replied, setting a trick to Grayson. He thought. 'He know this is a trick, but he has to accept my challenge in fishing, if he doesn't want to be considered as defeated.'

"Do you accept Gael's challenge?" Morgana questioned, looking upon Grayson. She thought. 'The trial is getting more interesting. I can't wait to see their fishing skills.'

"Yes, your majesty!" Grayson replied, accepting the challenge. He thought. 'If he thought that he could defeat me in fishing. He was wrong.'

"Let's fish at the beach! Leaving the beach is not allowed. Fishing with baits is the only thing you're allowed to do. The weight of fishes will decide the winner." Morgana announced the rule of fishing, shifting to the beach where wave tide caressed wet sand. She thought. 'This is a lovely place with sunshine, green trees and beach.'

"Yes, your majesty!" Dragons replied, following Morgana and coming to the beach. They thought. 'This is a brilliant idea! If God had blessed me with good fortune, I'll be the God of Dragon's inheritor.'

Morgana opened a portal to the Queen's Treasury, taking out a fishing stick and a box of baits. She sat on a gray rock, fishing quietly, as if she was a quietly gray rock. She saw the baits luring many goldfishes, but she wasn't meant to fish goldfishes.

Gael fluttered his dragon's wings, flying in the midair. He looked upon the ground, searching for preys. He saw an innocent and carefree red pig running near the beach. He gazed at the red pig, flying there and killing it with his dragon's claw.

He gathered some dried woods, setting a fire by fire-breathing. He put the red pig on the fire, roasting it until it dispersed the fragrance of food. He cooked roasted red pig at the beach, but he wasn't meant to eat roasted red pig.

Morgana saw Gael cooking roasted red pig at the beach. She looked around, and found that Amelia was cooking roasted whole lamb, and Grayson was cooking roasted beef. She wondered. 'What the hell?'

Gael swang his dragon's tail, seizing the roasted red pig. He laid his dragon's tail into water, fishing quietly. He thought. 'White whale loves roasted meat. They know roasted meat is a bait. But who wouldn't risk for roasted meat?'

Amelia swang her dragon's tail, seizing the roasted whole lamb. She laid her dragon's tail into water, fishing quietly. She thought. 'Roasted whole lamb is the best bait that white whales can't refuse!'

Grayson swang his bone dragon's tail, seizing the roasted beef. He laid his bone dragon's tail into water, fishing quietly. He thought. 'Fishing requires a good bait and enough patience. I've endured loneliness for one million years. Nobody can be more patient than me.'

Morgana saw dragons laying their tails into water. She thought. 'I have learned my fishing lessons from dragons. Shall I prepare a better bait? Forget it. This is not my trial. I'm expecting what kind of fish they are gonna fish up?'

Ocean surface started waving with tide, wave tide came with white whale toward seaside, white whales circled around beneath surface, there tempting baits laid at each white whale's face.

Gael felt white whales swimming near dragon's tail. He was more patient than before, waiting for an opportunity to fish up a white whale. He thought. 'Be patient! If the bait was bitten, I will fish up a white whale.'

Amelia felt a white whale feeding a little bit of the roasted whole lamb. She was more patient than before, waiting for the right time to fish up a white whale. She thought. 'Feeding a little bit of it is not enough. I want the white whale to feed all of it!'

Grayson suddenly swang his bone dragon's tail, as a white whale bit the bait. He laid his bone dragon's tail at the beach, and found that the roasted beef was bitten a little bit of it. He swaing his bone dragon's tail, laying it into water again. He thought. 'I shall be more patient. But the God of Dragon's power is too tempting!'

White whales dared not mess up with dragons. But the roasted meat was too tempting. They would risk their lives to taste a little bit of the roasted meat. The more they were tasting, the harder they could keep their cool.

A white whale swam to Gael's dragon's tail there a roasted red pig lured him to bite. But he sniffed the fragrance of food and swam away. He blew a bubble, as if he sighed that he had to miss the tempting roasted red pig.

The white whale swam to Amelia's dragon's tail there a roasted whole lamb lured him to bite. But he just bit a little bit of it, and joyfully swam away. He blew a bubble, as if he expressed how delighted he was.

The white whale swam to Grayson's dragon's tail there a roasted beef lured him to bite. But he let small fishes bite a little bit of it and ate small fishes. He blew a bubble, as if he said that he was full.

Morgana saw some dragons had fished up some small fishes, but Gael, Amelia and Grayson were still trying to fish the white whales. She felt a white whale biting her bait, swinging the fishing stick and fishing up a white whale.

Dragons turned around, looking unto the white whale with envy. This white whale jumped and tried to jumped back ocean. Morgana swang her fishing stick, and helped him return ocean. As soon as he returned ocean, he reminded his friends and swam away with fading tide.

Gael saw white whales swimming away. He changed his targets and tried to fish up more small fishes. He thought. 'White whales won't come back again. I have to fish up more small fishes.'

Amelia saw white whales swimming away. She swang her dragon's tail, laying down the roasted whole lamb. She breathed out a windblade, breathing at her dragon's tail. She swang her dragon's tail, laying under water. She thought. 'I shall be cruel on myself! I shall use my dragon's meat to feed fishes! The weight of fishes will decide the winner. If I fished up a white whale, I shall be the God of Dragon's inheritor!'

Her bleeding dragon's tail drove fishes crazy. Many fishes were biting her bleeding tail. White whales swam back, joining the other fishes and biting her bleeding tail. She endured the pains, swinging her dragon's tail and fishing up a white whale.
