Chapter 22 Talking with Jackson

Wednesday, December 27, 2024.

Wasted Planet, Forsaken Land, Jackson's Island, 14:00 p.m.

"What's the most soothing and the best music here?"

Morgana whispered, looking unto Jackson. Looking upon sea surface, listening to wave tide chanting, she thought.

'What's the most soothing and the best music here? Is that Jackson's lost song from her tender throat? Is that eternal music from waving tide? Is that Jackson's lost song in music of waving tide?'

Jackson ceased singing, looking upon sea surface where surface like mirror reflected blue sky and white clouds, listening to wave tide chanting with melody. Considering that wave tide's melody soothed her loneliness and emptiness, listening to the familiar wave tide's melody, she thought.

'Ocean is my muse. He always listens to me singing and replies me with wave tide's melody. Seven thousand years loneliness might drive a God crazy, but with ocean as my muse, I don't feel alone.'

"Wave tide's melody!"

Jackson replied, looking unto Morgana. Feeling the salty sea breeze which was ocean's breath, listening to wave tide's melody which was ocean's music, she thought.

'In this silent and empty world, only ocean and I are singing.'

Morgana enjoyed sunshine and beach, listening to wave tide's melody, feeling as if she was diving under ocean. Closing her dark and beautiful eyes, listening to repeative and soothing wave tide's melody, she thought.

'Wave tide's melody made by ocean, soothes my soul and empties my mind. It's soothing and beautiful.'

"Wave tide's melody is something and beautiful. But I've heard the better."

Morgana whispered, opening her dark and beautiful eyes with hues of night. Looking upon sea surface where surface was tranquil and peaceful, listening to wave tide's melody as if wave tide whispered that there was dark wave beneath surface, she thought.

'Ocean has been chanting for thousands of years. But he just has a few lost songs. Jackson has been singing for thousands of years. But she has a whole ocean's homesickness.'

Jackson started singing along wave tide's melody, singing as if she was a part of ocean, spreading homesickness as if homesickness was water in the ocean. Closing her blue and beautiful eyes, feeling the salty sea breeze from central sea, she thought.

'In this silent and empty planet, only ocean and I are singing. What's the most soothing and the best music here? Is that my song?'

"My song?"

Jackson doubted if her song was the most soothing and the best music here, opening her blue and beautiful eyes with hues of ocean. Listening to wave tide's melody made by ocean, feeling the salty sea breeze waving wave tide, she thought.

'My song is simple but soothing. Whenever I feel life's meaningless and pointless, I'll sing along wave tide's melody. With ocean as my muse, I don't feel alone.'

Morgana listened to Jackson singing, listening to Jackson's lost song echoing with waving tide, feeling as if melody was waving tide waving upon island. Feeling the salty sea breeze blowing through her dark curly hair which was as curly as waterfall, feeling as if melody was waving tide waving upon her heart's island, she thought.

'Jackson is a dragon, but she has mermaid's tender throat. She has a heaven-sent gift in singing.'

"Your song is soothing and tender. But it's not the best. You have heard the best music. Do you think what's the most soothing and the best music here?"

Morgana gently shook her head, looking upon sea surface. Watching upon the waving tide that waved on and on, watching upon the fading tide that erased footprint at the sand, fading like youth that's gone far away, she thought.

'Ocean's wave tide by itself is just wave tide. Jackson's lost song by itself is just lost song. Ocean's wave tide and Jackson's lost song together is the most soothing and the best music here.'

Jackson confused, hearing what she was told, recalling what kind of music she had ever heard. Recalling all songs she had ever sang, recalling wave tide's melody ocean sang to her in every single day, she thought.

'I'm the only singer here, and ocean is my only audience and my dearest muse. What's the most soothing and the best music here that I have ever heard?'

"My song in wave tide's melody?"

She replied, looking unto Morgana. Listening to wave tide chanting repeatively, feeling as if ocean whispered to her, she thought.

'In the long tale of my life, I just heard my song and wave tide's melody. In the isolated island, I have been living in here alone for seven thousand years, because it looks like Dragon Island with sunshine and beach. In the past seven thousand years, I forgot everything but Dragon Island, because wave tide washed away my memory.'

Morgana faced upon ocean, looking upon endless and azure sea surface, listening to eternal and soothing wave tide's melody. Feeling the salty sea breeze with the scent of water and salt, listening to wave tide's melody echoed with yearning, she thought.

'I'm surprised that Jackson has been living in here alone for seven thousand years. How could she endure seven thousand years loneliness?'

"Ocean's wave tide by itself is just wave tide. Your song by itself is just a song. But your song in wave tide's melody is the most soothing and the best music here.'

Morgana gently nodded her head, looking into Jackson's eyes with hues of ocean. Closing her dark and beautiful eyes with hues of night, listening to wave tide chanting, she thought.

'With ocean as her muse, she is a brilliant singer.'

Jackson heard Morgana's uplifting comment to her song, feeling spirits lifted, feeling as if she was diving in hot spring. Hearing Morgana's uplifting comment, feeling a kind of great joy, she thought.

'My heart's lake is as tranquil and peaceful as sea surface. Her uplifting comment is like a stone that ripples my heart's lake wave line. She gives me faith and courage to keep singing, to carry on singer's career and to improve my growing talent in singing.'

"Thank you for listening to me singing. You're flattering me. I'm grateful for your appreciation. In the past seven thousand years, you're the first guest here and the first person who listens to me singing."

Jackson whispered with gratitude and delight, looking unto Morgana. Feeling as if she was circled by wave tides, feeling as if wave tides were delight, she thought.

'With ocean as my muse, I sing to ocean in every day. Ocean replies me with eternal and soothing wave tide's melody. I'm also ocean's muse. I listen to wave tide chanting as if ocean whispered to me.'

"What's your future plan?"

Morgana asked, looking unto Jackson who had been living in here alone for seven thousand years. Looking upon wave tide caressed wet sand, looking upon wave tide fading as if wave tide was also missing home, she thought.

'Jackson spreads yearning and homesickness. Her song is somber and blue. I think she is also secretly missing home.'

Jackson raised her head, gazing upon endless and azure sea surface, listening to wave tide echoing with familiar melody. Recalling the last scene she gazed at Dragon Island, feeling the growing desire to come back Dragon Island, she thought.

'In the past seven thousand years, I was always singing to ocean. Now I'm still singing. In the future, I'll keep singing at brink of shore.'

"My life is singer's life. My stage is the brink of shore. My muse is the ocean. My future is here. With ocean as my muse, I don't feel alone."

Jackson replied, looking unto Morgana. Looking upon tranquil and peaceful sea surface, feeling as if her life was as tranquil and peaceful as sea surface, she thought.

'Ocean is tranquil and peaceful, so is my singer's life.'

Morgana was surprised that Jackson was peaceful with everything. She couldn't understand her feelings, because she hadn't experienced her circumstance. She faced upon ocean, looking upon tranquil and peaceful sea surface, listening to wave tide echoing with repeative melody, she thought.

'If I was imprisoned in this isolated island for seven thousand years, I'll get bored to death.'

"I know you're feeling lonely sometimes. I know you're missing home secretly. I know Dragon Island's situation. Do you want to hear?"

Morgana whispered, looking unto Jackson. Looking upon endless and azure sea surface that she couldn't see the edge of sea, looking upon sea surface like mirror reflected blue sky and white clouds. She thought.

'Ocean is another planet's ocean, but sky is the same cosmic sky.'

Jackson was excited after hearing Morgana's words. She had forgotten everything but the last scene she gazed at Dragon Island. What she wanted most was to come back Dragon Island. Hearing Morgana's words, feeling spirit lifted, she thought.

'I desire nothing but coming back hometown. I can't wait to hear hometown's situation.'

"Tell me Dragon Island's situation! Please!"

Jackson applied, applying to hear Dragon Island's situation. Looking upon waving tide, feeling as if her heart's lake was as waving as waving tide, she thought.

'I almost forgot everything. But I can't forget hometown. If I forgot hometown, I shall be a homeless soul.'

Morgana sat on a gray rock, looking upon waving tide, recalling the precious and wild hours in Dragon Island. Remembering their familiar faces, remembering their familiar voices, she thought.

'Grayson, Gael and Amelia, they are my dragon friends. Dragons honor me as their queen, and I shall treat dragons as friends.'

"Grayson who was a bone dragon, he was the guard at the door to Dragon Palace Ruin. I conquered him and obtained the Statue of the God of Dragon. Gael who was the king of dragons, he honored me as dragon clan's queen. I set the God of Dragon's trial to select the God of Dragon's inheritor. Amelia who was the daughter of Gael, she won the qualification to be the God of Dragon's inheritor and inherited the God of Dragon's power and Gael's crown. I was asked by her to come here and check your situation."

Morgana whispered, telling Jackson about Dragon Island's situation. Looking upon tranquil and peaceful sea surface, listening to repeative and soothing wave tide, she thought.

'Life is a vast ocean. It's always tranquil and peaceful, but sometimes it's waving and rolling.'
