" I hate him. I hate him so, so much. " Krishnangi sniffed, marching out of the club. She just wanted to enjoy herself tonight, but that Ruhaan had to spoil it for her.
Reaching the parking lot -the same where she'd been molested three years ago- she exhaled a shaky breath. It's this place where it had all started.
The hate, the misunderstandings, the complications. The place, which tied both of them in an unnamed bond.
Putting on the helmet, she revved the engine, when her phone ringed, " Yes, Rutuja, I'm sorry I left you without informing- "
" Krish V-Vihaan he g-got- " her voice broke in between.
" Rutuja, what happened to Vihaan? Where are you? " Krishnangi came out of the club area, and made her way to the location sent by her friend.
Throughout the way, Rutuja's desperate cries and pleas echoed in her mind. On reaching their college, she searched for her and when noticed, she made a dash to the spot.
There, Rutuja sat messed up on the grassy ground. In her lap, lay Vihaan's bloodied head; he's unconscious. Blood clots on his forehead and a dark red spot spreading out on the center of his abdomen.
Krishnangi was a blank for a moment. And then, she sat down with a thump near Vihaan. She covered her mouth in a shocked gasp, seeing the man, who was so close to her, almost like a brother, in a condition so unbearable.
Regaining her wits, she shook her head. She couldn't act weak like this. They're doctors, they need to be quick with their decision. A life depends on them.
She looked at the girl beside her, who was crying inconsolably, " Rutuja, did you call Ruhaan? " she froze for a moment. But then more tears rolled down her cheeks.
" I can't think of anything right now Krishnangi. Please, please make him all right, God. "
She can't be blamed either. Seeing the person you love in this condition, can leave anyone in shambles.
Krishnangi checked his pulse and sighed in relief when she he felt his shallow breaths. She tried to pull him up, " Come on with Rutuja, help me. We need to get him to the medical room. " Rutuja sat unmoved, sobbing, " Hey, it's not the time to cry. We have to be quick. Blood loss is not good for him. "
That made her moving. Soon they're in the medical room, surrounded by nurses and two doctors, one of which was their professor Dr. Deepak Chaturvedi.
" What happened to him? " the doctor asked, recognizing the youngest son of the trustee.
" We- we find him near the backside of the college, unconscious. Will he be okay sir? " the doctor muttered something to the nurse as Krishnangi waited for his reply.
" The cut in his abdomen looks lethal. We need to perform a surgery and his head needed to be stitched too. But for that, we need the signature of his ward. Did you call his parents or Ruhaan? " Krishnangi shook her head and hurriedly made a call.
" Hello? "
" Chicken eyes- "
" Vihaan is being operated. Please come to the college. " and she hang up.
The next hours went in a flash, Ruhaan appearing in front of the OT and demanding to be present while his brother is being operated, him being hauled back since he was still a student and he'd not gotten his degree yet.
Rutuja still bowling her eyes out and Krishnangi, she was still not able to grasp what happened all in one night. All of them remain outside the OT, praying for Vihaan to be alright.
Krishnangi glanced at him from the corner of her eyes. The crisp white shirt from the evening, was now wrinkled. He was leaning on the hospital wall, as a tear sparkled down it's way from his closed eyes.
Krishnangi looked away. Despite hating him, she cannot bear to see this beautifully cruel man in pain. The three of them snapped out of their world, when Dr. Deepak came out of the theatre. Ruhaan was the first one who asked, " Is everything- "
" He was out of danger now Ruhaan. " Rutuja slumped down on a chair and thanked the almighty, " There's a minor concussion in his head, and he's lucky enough that the cut in the abdomen, though seemingly deep, just grazed his vital organs, but- "
" But? "
" Unfortunately, he was brought in the medical room, very late. In the meantime, he'd considerably lost a lot of blood. And because of this- " Ruhaan knew what was coming next, " -he'd slipped into a coma. "
