Arthur's memories had proven to be of little use; he was a homeless man who had spent half of his life in medical school after all. The irony of a medical student becoming a drug addict was not lost on Lucas. As he navigated trough the city, he sensed thousands of powerful auras emanating from its depths. It quickly dawned on him that all of his meticulous plans to remain undiscovered were pointless.

Despite this realization, Lucas was still determined to conceal the fact that he was a cultivator. He was uncertain about how unaffiliated cultivators were perceived in this day and age. 

With a focused mind, he continued walking along the sidewalks, seemingly unaffected by his surroundings, deep in thought about his current goals.

I need a job, identity documents, a house, a passport, a phone, a car, and most importantly, money. I need money, he reminded himself. Summoning back his blood essence, he retrieved the amount he had previously used to create physical objects. He needed to conserve as much of it as possible to attempt to reach rank 1 again.

Before taking on any of his other immediate goals, he needed to find a bench. With this thought in mind, Lucas had decided head to the park from Arthur's memories. Using his blood essence, he created a bicycle. 

Only vampires and powerful detection mages could sense his blood essence after it had been used to form physical objects and According to what Lucas had learned before his reawakening, vampires lived in caves, avoiding sunlight, and detection mages were extremely rare. With this knowledge, he felt confident that no one would detect that his bicycle was mad out of blood essence.

Lucas rode the bicycle until he arrived at a large public park that had a lot of benches . He found an empty and then began to cultivate. Entering his realm of essence,

 Lucas began to work on fusing his diluted rank 1 essence with his empowered rank 1 essence. He carefully separated his three different types of rank 1 essence into three different sections: one for the diluted essence, one for the normal essence, and the last for the empowered essence.

Lucas wasn't planning on fighting anyone anytime soon; therefore, he didn't feel the need to cultivate powered essence before even reaching rank 1. His rank 1 essence glowed a crimson red, which was unusual, as normal rank 1 essence should be bright red. Reflecting on this, Lucas decided to resume the conventional blood cultivation methods taught in his clan instead of pursuing the unfamiliar techniques he had devised while trying to escape east.
