Chapter 11: Electric Current Training

Lin Yi stayed up all night meticulously transcribing the Jade Vein Strength technique from his wasteland memories. Though it only spanned eight pages, the intricate meridian flow diagrams, detailed annotations, and advanced techniques required absolute accuracy.

As the first rays of sunlight streamed into his room, Lin Yi stretched, folded the transcribed technique carefully, and tucked it into his pocket. He then left the house, heading to an alley where he had arranged to meet Wang Yanfie and hand over the manual.

However, as he approached the meeting spot, he noticed Wang Yanfie standing by the roadside, staring blankly in another direction. His gaze was locked onto Su Yuqing.

Su Yuqing wore a simple school uniform, her long hair swaying slightly in the morning breeze. She had a gentle smile while chatting with her classmates. But Wang Yanfie stood there frozen, completely unaware of Lin Yi's arrival.

"Wang Yanfie!" Lin Yi called out loudly, stopping right in front of him.

Wang Yanfie jolted in surprise, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. "Oh, Lin Yi, you're here…"

"What were you staring at? Your soul practically left your body!" Lin Yi frowned, then said bluntly, "If you like her, go for it. If not, move on. Standing here, half-hearted and dazed, only makes you look pathetic."

"Hey, it's not like that. I was just looking around…" Wang Yanfie muttered, but his gaze involuntarily drifted back towards Su Yuqing.

Lin Yi scoffed, then forcefully pressed the technique into Wang Yanfie's chest. "Here's the manual. If you have time to daydream, you'd be better off training and mastering your ability before worrying about romance!"

Wang Yanfie blinked, took the booklet, and looked up at Lin Yi. "You wrote it all down already?"

"Less talking, more reading." Lin Yi said impatiently. "Your current Jade Vein Strength is purely defensive—not practical in combat. The later techniques will teach you how to channel energy efficiently and even enhance your physical strength."

On the bus, Wang Yanfie held the handwritten manual in his hands, his face filled with curiosity and excitement. He flipped open the first page and was immediately met with dense, intricate diagrams of meridian points and acupuncture pathways. The pages were packed with labels, energy flow instructions, and complex annotations.

"Shenque Point, Taixi Point, Tianzhu Point… What the hell is all this?" Wang Yanfie frowned, muttering to himself. "Is this a martial arts manual or a traditional medicine textbook? Lin Yi, are you training me or sending me to med school?"

Lin Yi simply spread his hands in exasperation.

Skipping past the overly technical sections, Wang Yanfie turned to the practical application parts. These were much clearer and read more like a combat guide.

"When throwing a punch, energy should start from the core and gradually flow to the arm. At the moment of impact, the energy must be concentrated at the fist, much like how the tip of a whip delivers the strongest force. This maximizes impact power while minimizing energy dispersion."

Wang Yanfie's eyes lit up in realization.

He continued reading. The technique further detailed how to use muscle coordination to enhance power output:

"When punching, the initial force comes from the twisting motion of the shoulders and waist, while the legs provide a stable foundation. Power transfers from the feet to the waist, then to the arm, and finally condenses into the punch. Only by synchronizing the entire body's movement can the attack achieve its full potential."

"So it's like a bowstring—pulling back the force completely before launching it at full speed." Wang Yanfie thought, his fists clenching instinctively as his mind pictured himself delivering a devastating blow.

Turning the page, he found a section on defensive techniques, just as detailed:

"When being grabbed or pinned down, energy must quickly flow to the legs and waist to stabilize balance and prevent being thrown. Simultaneously, the core must generate rotational force to transfer energy to the arms, allowing for a forceful pushback. The key lies in coordinated exertion—stay stable but act fast to turn the tide in a struggle."

"This is way better than just hardening my body and tanking hits!" Wang Yanfie slapped his thigh in excitement. "Before, I was just brute-forcing through fights, but with this, I actually have techniques to rely on!"

The manual even detailed footwork adjustments for dodging attacks, using energy to maintain balance while moving, and even pain suppression techniques for dealing with injuries in battle.

"This isn't just a technique—this is a full-on combat manual!" Wang Yanfie thought, completely engrossed.

Passengers came and went, but Wang Yanfie remained absorbed in his reading. He finally closed the booklet, eyes filled with newfound determination.

"Lin Yi, this is amazing! Looks like Jade Vein Strength can finally be more than just a defensive skill. Just wait till I master this—I'll be punching my way to a whole new level!"

Still deep in thought, Wang Yanfie muttered battle scenarios to himself, whispering, "Waist rotation… leg support… energy condensation in the fists… Perfect!"

Suddenly, a quiet cough snapped him back to reality.

He looked up to find the bus driver staring at him with an exasperated expression. Next to him stood Lin Yi, arms crossed, amusement in his eyes.

"Awake now?" Lin Yi asked dryly. "You've practically become part of the bus décor. You didn't even notice we reached the terminal."

Wang Yanfie blinked, then hurriedly looked outside—sure enough, they were at the final stop. The streets were empty, save for a cleaning truck rolling by.

"The terminal?" Wang Yanfie shot up from his seat. "Wait, why are you here?"

Lin Yi sighed, rubbing his forehead. "I figured I'd walk with you for a bit, but you were so into your reading that you didn't even notice the bus emptying out. So, I stayed till the end."

The driver shook his head. "Kid, reading is great, but don't hold up my schedule. I cleared the bus minutes ago."

Wang Yanfie scratched his head awkwardly and hurriedly stuffed the booklet into his pocket. "My bad, I really didn't notice…"

Lin Yi sighed. "Now you understand what it means to be too immersed in training? Next time, read at home instead of making an entire bus wait."

After a long day of classes, Wang Yanfie and Lin Yi returned home. As soon as they stepped in, Wang Yanfie tossed his jacket onto the couch and headed to the kitchen.

"You chill out, I'll whip up something to eat. Then we can go over training plans."

Lin Yi chuckled, sitting down and casually scrolling through his wristband as Wang Yanfie bustled about in the kitchen. Before long, the table was set with an array of steaming dishes.

"Not bad, your cooking keeps improving," Lin Yi said, taking a bite of braised pork.

"Eat up," Wang Yanfie rolled his eyes. "By the way, I've noticed that energy isn't just about circulation—eating well helps too. Theoretically, consuming high-energy substances could boost growth, but without reaching the 'Jade Viscera Stage,' my body can't handle raw power intake."

Lin Yi nodded thoughtfully. "You're right. If we can't directly ingest it, we need another method… like using electricity."

Wang Yanfie paused mid-bite. "Electricity? You're not suggesting I stick my hand into a socket, are you?"

"Actually, I am." Lin Yi said seriously. "With Jade Vein Strength reinforcing your hand, you should be able to withstand some electric currents. Electricity is pure energy—if controlled properly, it could stimulate your energy circulation and speed up training."

Wang Yanfie stroked his chin, intrigued. "Sounds crazy, but also kind of makes sense. Electricity is energy. Might be worth a try."

Without hesitation, they rummaged through the storage room and found an old electrical setup, complete with exposed wires.

Taking a deep breath, Wang Yanfie activated Jade Vein Strength, channeling energy into his palm before slowly reaching towards the wire.

The moment he made contact, a tingling sensation shot through his body.

"Whoa… this actually feels kinda good—"

ZAP!

A surge of electricity burst through his defenses, sending him flying into the wall.

BANG!

Covered in soot, his hair standing on end, he groaned. "Holy crap… That felt like getting struck by lightning."

Lin Yi crouched beside him, suppressing a laugh. "You okay?"

Wang Yanfie grinned weakly. "Still alive… but damn, I think I leveled up."
