A few minutes later, the screen on Lin Yi's wristband lit up again. Xiao Yin's voice had become urgent and serious:

"Lin Yi, the local Intelligence Brain has completed the preliminary review. According to protocol, you will be immediately transferred to a secure location. Please cooperate."

Lin Yi was about to ask for details when he heard the low rumble of an engine outside. Looking up, he saw a black, unmarked hover vehicle parked outside the hospital, with several armored soldiers swiftly stepping out. Their movements were precise and disciplined.

Moments later, there was a knock at the door of his hospital room. A tall, stern-faced officer entered, his sharp gaze carrying an air of authority.

"Mr. Lin Yi, I am the captain of the local Intelligence Brain's mobile unit. We are under orders to escort you to a designated secure area," he stated clearly, his tone professional yet firm.

Lin Yi frowned slightly, about to ask further, but the officer preempted him:

"Your parents have already been notified and have signed the cooperation agreement. They fully understand the importance of this mission."

Lin Yi's heart tightened. "Can I see them before I go?"

The officer's expression softened slightly, and his tone lowered a notch. "You may speak with them. The Intelligence Brain is ensuring their safety, and they will be relocated to a protection zone. This is a temporary measure and will not affect your future contact with them."

Lin Yi let out a slow breath. His wristband screen flickered on, establishing a real-time communication link. His mother's gentle face appeared on the screen, standing beside his steadfast and imposing father.

"Yi'er, don't worry about us." His mother's voice was as soft as ever, filled with encouragement. "The Intelligence Brain has arranged everything. Do your part well—this is an honor for our family."

His father stood beside her, raising his mechanical arm slightly as he spoke in his usual commanding tone:

"Brat, don't embarrass us! Remember, you are a Lin. Whatever mission they give you, you hold your ground."

Lin Yi stared at their faces on the screen, his chest tightening. He knew this mission wouldn't permanently separate them, but this sudden departure still left a bitter taste in his heart.

"Mom, Dad, I'll take care of myself," he said, taking a deep breath. His voice was firm. "When this is over, I'll come back to see you."

His mother nodded, her eyes glistening with unshed tears, but she smiled warmly nonetheless. "We'll be waiting for you."

The call ended. The officer gestured for Lin Yi to prepare for departure. Lin Yi took a moment to compose himself, his gaze sharpening with resolve.

"Let's go."

The hover vehicle's door closed behind him with a soft hiss. Inside, the atmosphere was quiet and tense. As the vehicle lifted off, Lin Yi stared out the window at the receding hospital building, his fists clenching.

"Wait for me, Mom, Dad… and everyone in the future."

------------

The hover vehicle came to a smooth stop. Lin Yi stepped out, greeted by the sight of a hidden high-tech facility nestled in a mountain valley. The entrance was unassuming, seamlessly blending into the natural surroundings.

"Mr. Lin Yi, this way." The officer motioned for him to follow.

Inside, the base was eerily quiet. The floors gleamed under soft lighting, and advanced equipment hummed faintly. Personnel moved efficiently, their actions precise yet calm.

As Lin Yi surveyed his surroundings, a soothing voice echoed near him:

"Lin Yi, welcome to the protection zone."

He turned to find a holographic projection standing in the center of the hall. The figure was that of a middle-aged man, his demeanor calm and wise, exuding an air of trust and authority.

"I am 'Ce,' the Personality Intelligence Brain authorized to receive you," the projection introduced itself with a polite nod. "We have reviewed your submitted technology. Please follow me. You can explain the details over a meal."

Lin Yi was momentarily surprised by the Intelligence Brain's human-like warmth. Unlike the cold, calculated nature of standard AI, Ce felt more like a calm and experienced mentor.

Ce led him into a spacious dining area, simple yet welcoming. A table had already been set, featuring a selection of exquisitely prepared dishes.

"This meal has been tailored to your health data," Ce explained, gesturing toward the food. "Please eat at your own pace as we discuss your findings."

Lin Yi took a seat, tasting a small bite—it was surprisingly good. He couldn't help but remark, "I didn't expect an Intelligence Brain to handle meal arrangements this well."

"Understanding humans is our responsibility." Ce smiled. "And you clearly have something very important to tell us."

Lin Yi set his chopsticks down, his expression turning serious. He pulled up his wristband and extracted the techniques he had retrieved from Wang Yanfei's future legacy.

"This is what I must submit first—a unique martial arts system," Lin Yi explained. "It drastically enhances an individual's physical capabilities. It was developed for high-intensity combat in the future."

Ce analyzed the data silently before nodding. "This technique is extremely valuable. I will immediately categorize and store it. But I can see that this is more than just martial arts—it carries a deeper significance, doesn't it?"

Lin Yi hesitated briefly, then said, "Yes. This technique must be delivered to a specific person—Wang Yanfei."

Ce's expression brightened slightly, and his tone remained gentle:

"Mr. Wang Yanfei is currently in District One, spending time with his family. I can arrange for him to receive this data."

Lin Yi nodded, relieved. "That would be ideal."

----------

At the same time, inside the room, Wang Yanfei sat cross-legged on the ground, emitting a faint white light. He took a deep breath, beads of sweat appeared on his forehead, and the electromagnetic resonance rod beside him made a slight buzzing sound.

"Jade Bone…" he murmured, inspecting his forearms. His bones shimmered faintly like jade, their density and toughness greatly enhanced.

He had successfully reached the second phase of his training. Most of his skeleton had undergone transformation—except for his skull, which remained the most challenging. The resonance rod's intense vibrations threatened not just his bones, but also his brain and internal organs, making direct application too risky.

"Jade Force can penetrate deeper, but the skull won't take direct shocks," Wang Yanfei muttered. "If I keep using the resonance rod, I'll probably end up brain-dead before completing the training."

He set the rod aside, wiping the sweat from his brow.

Just then, his Intelligence Brain console lit up with a crisp notification sound:

"You have received an urgent transmission from Lin Yi."

"Lin Yi?" Wang Yanfei raised an eyebrow in surprise. He quickly opened the file, scanning its contents. His eyes widened slightly.

The document's title stood out:

"Complete Supplementary Plan for Jade Bone Training."

His brows furrowed in intrigue. This had to be related to the barrier he was struggling with. He skimmed through the document, and within seconds, his expression shifted from curiosity to astonishment.

The first paragraph immediately caught his full attention:

"Bone transformation should not be achieved through direct impact—it must start with the bloodstream, gradually infiltrating the skull from within. This is the only safe and effective method."

Wang Yanfei read on, absorbing the detailed training methodology:

The energy must first integrate into the bloodstream, leveraging circulatory flow to carry it into the skull's outer layers. Over time, the continuous circulation would allow gradual osmosis into the bone structure, avoiding direct trauma.

Only after achieving partial skull reinforcement should low-frequency resonance be applied, ensuring controlled penetration without harming the brain.

The process would take approximately three months, but it would also fortify the blood's ability to channel Jade Force into internal organs, gradually enhancing the heart, lungs, liver, and other vital systems.

Wang Yanfei's grip tightened around the document, his pulse rising with excitement.

"This is it… The missing piece."
