"Host Nine, you're a bad guy! Touching someone without their permission—where are your manners? I thought all CEOs were supposed to have mysophobia."
Hania Fill's left eye twitched at the remark.
Ignoring the system's nonsensical chatter, he replied calmly. "You've been reading far too many romance novels."
"How did you know!?" ALAIS exclaimed, shocked and suspicious.
How could its favorite host be aware of its hobby of reading romance novels to a female audience?
Hania Fill didn't respond.
Instead, his gaze dropped to the young child squirming in his grasp.
Above them, the sun hung high in a brilliantly blue sky, its warmth softened by a gentle breeze.
The day was fair and calm, an almost ironic contrast to the child's struggle in his arms.
For a fleeting moment, Hania Fill realized this was the first time he had ever held a crying child.
How do you comfort a crying child again?
After a few minutes of talking with the young child, and offering him a small biscuit to quiet him, Hania Fill learned that the boy was called Little Domino.
When asked about his real name, the young child seemed clueless, he only knew that his big sister always called him Little Domino.
"Big Brother Hanny, are you a good guy?"
"My name is Hania, not Hanny." Hania Fill replied, annoyed by anyone who used strange nicknames for him. "How old are you?"
"I'm like this!" Little Domino proudly held up his fingers, counting from one to seven. "I am an adult now!"
"You are not an adult yet, you're still a kid." Hania Fill corrected.
Little Domino looked up at the big brother, utterly confused. His big sister had told him he was already an adult and needed to stand on his own two feet soon.
Hania Fill began to guide the boy toward the car, his thoughts drifting to where he could find new clothes for the young child.
Little Domino's clothes were visibly dirty, and Hania wondered if he should check the system's store or find something along the way.
The interior of his car was spotless, and the thought of dirt on the seats made him grimace, he'd be annoyed if he had to clean it again.
While he didn't suffer from mysophobia, despite the system's constant insistence, much like the CEOs in those billionaire novels his love-brained secretary loved to read, Hania Fill still valued cleanliness.
He wasn't afraid of dealing with dirt when necessary, but he preferred to avoid it when he could.
"Let's change your clothes first." Hania Fill said.
He had already checked the system store and found a small Victorian-era sailor suit, and it was complete with a blouse and matching shorts.
It was surprisingly affordable, so he bought it using his own money—once again.
Having an inkling of how this young child would soon become his first student, Hania Fill didn't mind giving a little credit upfront.
After all, once the boy started at his school, he'd surely earn that investment back.
In the background, ALAIS happily sang the popular children's song "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star."
Hania Fill, annoyed by the noise, ordered the system to be quiet.
ALAIS: "…"
Little Domino, unaware of his future at the school, accepted the clean clothes with wide-eyed wonder and excitement.
It was the first time he'd ever seen clothes so clean, without a trace of dirt like the ones worn by the kids from the Leader of the 9th Base.
He used to stare at the other small children who wore clean clothes and dream of having new ones.
So, without hesitation, his little hand eagerly grabbed them, and with the help of his big brother Hania, he quickly changed into them.
Glancing at Little Domino, who was exuding happiness from wearing new clothes, Hania Fill's lips curled up slightly.
It was good to know this child still held onto such innocence, despite the world around him falling apart.
"We need to move now." Hania reminded Little Domino as he lifted him up, carefully placing him in the passenger seat and fastening the seatbelt over the young child's frame.
Time was running out, and they couldn't afford to be caught outside in the dark.
As his hand brushed against the child's broken stuffed toy, he couldn't help but frown, his thick eyebrows furrowing. The toy was dirty. He wanted to take it and throw it away.
Hania didn't have mysophobia, despite the system's constant insistence—like those CEOs in the billionaire novels his secretary loved to read.
However, Hania Fill was a man who valued cleanliness, and he wasn't afraid to deal with dirt when necessary.
"Do you want me to put your little plushie away first?"
"No! No!" Little Domino shouted, his voice breaking as he was suddenly on the verge of tears.
"Okay, okay. But it's a bit dirty, and your clothes will get stained. We'll just put it in my storage box for now and clean it later." Hania Fill tried again, his words slower and his tone as gentle as he could manage.
If anyone from the business world, especially a business partner, saw him coaxing a child like this, they might snicker at him or mistake him for someone else entirely.
He didn't want the child to cry again, especially since he'd have to quiet him once more, and the new clothes were already starting to get a little dirty.
"How about I get you a new plushie to hug?" He knew that exchanging things for mutual benefit was the best way to strike a deal.
"New plushie?"
"Yes, how about this one?" With that, a new rabbit plushie appeared out of nowhere, much like how the clothes had materialized before Little Domino's eyes.
The young child wasn't shocked by the sudden appearance of the rabbit plushie. Instead, his doe eyes widened in awe at the new kind of toy.
He let go of the dirty, broken bear plushie, and Hania Fill quickly snatched it away, making it disappear into his space storage.
"This new plushie is yours. Now be good and tell me, where is your sister who left you here?"
