A Sudden Change in Attitude.

Aurora blinked her eyes, slowly adjusting her blurred vision until it gradually became clear.

A sharp pain suddenly struck her head, causing her to hiss.

She felt something touch her neck, and as she realized what was actually on her neck, her body jerked, and she stared in horror at the man sitting next to her.

Caius's hand was currently on her neck, and a flash of the night he had choked her returned to Aurora's mind.

"Don't kill me." Aurora muttered unconsciously, her face pale, her eyes staring in horror at Caius.

"Sssttt, calm down." Caius's voice was calm and soft. His thumb gently stroked the wound on Aurora's neck. "Lie down again."

Caius slightly pressed on Aurora's shoulder, urging her to lie back down. Without realizing it, Aurora obeyed.

"Your neck wound is bleeding again. The blood attracts dark power; you fainted because your body reacted to the presence of the dark power." Caius explained, his thumb still gently caressing the wound.

Strangely, Aurora didn't feel any pain or discomfort from the touch on her wound. Instead, she felt incredibly comfortable and relaxed.

"Are you going to kill me now because I attracted dark power?"

Caius's thumb on Aurora's neck froze for a moment before continuing to stroke it.

"I won't kill you."

Aurora wasn't sure. "Really? Didn't you want to kill me so badly?"

Caius shook his head gently. "I won't kill you."

Aurora gave up trying to find an answer. She couldn't provoke Caius any further since his hand was still on her neck. He could strangle her if she angered him.

Aurora looked around and hesitantly asked, "This isn't my room."

"This is my room." - Caius.

"Why am I in your room?" - Aurora.

"Because my room is much more comfortable for you." - Caius.

Aurora, "...."

Aurora sneered inwardly. 'Why do you care so much about my comfort? Am I not just a target for you to kill at any moment?'

Suddenly, Aurora realized something. "Who brought me here?"

The last thing she remembered was being in the main hall for Luna's death anniversary ceremony, then suddenly losing consciousness. It was impossible that she walked here on her own.

It couldn't be Caius who brought her here, could it?

Caius didn't answer. His hand, which had been on Aurora's neck, now moved to her chin and pinched it to make her look at him. He lowered his body until their faces were only a breath apart.

Aurora almost screamed.

From this close distance, Caius's face could be considered perfect. It looked as if it had been chiseled with precision, with sword-sharp eyebrows and a straight, high nose, his golden eyes were captivating, and his lips full.

Suddenly, Aurora's heart started beating fast.

'What is this? What the hell is this crazy man doing? Why is he getting so close to my face? Is he going to kiss me? Crazy! Crazy! Crazy! Crazy!'

Aurora didn't even dare blink as Caius suddenly licked her neck.

Aurora shuddered from the strange sensation and unconsciously closed her eyes. Her body squirmed from the ticklish feeling.

"Your scent is so sweet." Caius's voice was deep and soft as he said that, making Aurora feel as though she was being hypnotized by him.

Caius stared at Aurora's face.

"Have you read about Mates in the book I gave you?"

Aurora nodded, then hesitated before replying, "Mates are soulmates, with a strong bond, destined partners."

"Good ... Then what do wolves feel when they find their mate?" - Caius.

Aurora shook her head; there was no explanation about that in the book Caius had given her earlier.

The corner of Caius's mouth lifted slightly, making Aurora's heart flutter even more.

Caius played with Aurora's hair and mysteriously said, "You'll find out over time."

Aurora couldn't take it anymore.

Every word that came from Caius's lips sounded like a melody, as if speaking directly to her heart. His captivating gaze made Aurora feel trapped.

"I'll go back to my room." Aurora quickly said and tried to get up from the bed, but Caius quickly grabbed her wrist and pulled her back so that Aurora's back was against the bed again.

"Where are you going? Your room is here." - Caius.

"This is your room." - Aurora.

"My room is also your room." - Caius.

Author note ; (sounds like: What's mine is yours.)

Before Aurora could say anything else, she felt Caius's large hand wrap around her waist, holding her tightly until she could barely move.

"Sleep again."

Aurora felt Caius's soft lips on her forehead, freezing her body.

'He just kissed my forehead, didn't he? He really kissed me, right? He kissed me, he kissed me, he kissed me.' Aurora kept repeating this phrase in her head, as if trying to confirm whether she was hallucinating. But the warmth of Caius's body against hers was so real, making her realize this was indeed real.

Aurora was in shock. She swallowed and felt confused by Caius's behavior. On one hand, she was terrified of being near Caius because he could kill her anytime she let her guard down.

But on the other hand, she felt calm. She was becoming addicted to every touch she received from Caius, and she didn't understand why she felt that way.

'This is so strange.'

Aurora turned to Caius, who now had his eyes closed.

'Has he fallen asleep?'

Aurora waved her hand in front of Caius's face to check if he was asleep, and it seemed like he indeed was.

"Sleep here!" Caius suddenly said.

Aurora was startled and, in the end, the thought of sneaking out of the room disappeared.

Aurora resigned herself.

'God, if I have many sins, forgive me, and take me to Your heaven. Soon, I will be killed by this man in this room, so give me a painless death.'

Aurora closed her eyes and tried to sleep. She thought that dying in her sleep couldn't be painful.

1 minute.

5 minutes.

10 minutes.

Aurora opened her eyes again. 'I can't sleep.'

'This is crazy, just imagine it—what person can sleep while lying in the same bed with someone dangerous, someone who could kill them at any moment?'

Aurora sighed deeply and cried inside. 'I really don't want to die.'

She wanted to change her position, but Caius's hand on her stomach made her too scared to move. Even breathing felt heavy.

'Oh, come on.'

Aurora fidgeted restlessly.

"I told you to sleep."

Aurora jumped when she heard Caius's voice. She turned and saw those golden eyes staring directly at her.

'Didn't he already sleep earlier?'

"Close your eyes," Caius ordered.

Aurora obediently closed her eyes.

Caius moved closer and kissed both of Aurora's eyes.

Strangely, Aurora suddenly felt sleepy.

Before she could fully drift into a dream, she felt a soft, wet touch on her lips. It was light and sweet, full of warmth and tenderness, like a touch full of care and affection.

It felt as though a warm feeling spread in her chest.

Caius brushed Aurora's hair off her cheek. His gaze, which had been gentle, slowly turned dark as he stared intently at Aurora's sleeping face.

"Good ... Keep sleeping in my arms until you're sick of it and think that you can't escape anywhere."

He kissed Aurora's hair, then the corner of his mouth lifted.

"Welcome back ... My Luna."
