Chapter 41: New Beginnings

The sun was setting over the horizon as Jack and I sat on the beach, watching the waves roll in. It was hard to believe that it had been a year since we'd met. So much had changed since then.

"I'm so grateful for that day," Jack said, turning to me with a smile. "The day we met, I mean."

"Me too," I replied, taking his hand in mine. "I was so lost back then. I didn't know what I wanted or where I was going. But then I met you, and everything changed."

Jack's eyes sparkled with tears. "You changed me too," he said. "You helped me to see that there was more to life than just existing. You showed me that I could live, really live, and that I didn't have to be held back by my past."

I squeezed his hand. "You did the same for me," I said. "You helped me to see that I was worthy of love, that I deserved to be happy."

We sat in silence for a moment, watching the sun dip below the horizon. Then Jack turned to me, a mischievous glint in his eye.

"Want to make some new memories?" he asked.

I raised an eyebrow. "What did you have in mind?"

Jack grinned. "I was thinking we could take a trip. Just the two of us. We could go anywhere we want, do anything we want."

My heart skipped a beat. "That sounds amazing," I said.

Jack nodded. "I thought you'd like the idea. So, where do you want to go?"

I thought for a moment. There were so many places I wanted to visit, so many things I wanted to see and do.

"I don't know," I said finally. "Where do you want to go?"

Jack smiled. "I was thinking maybe Europe," he said. "We could visit Paris, Rome, all the big cities."

I nodded, excitement building in my chest. "That sounds incredible," I said.

Jack grinned. "I'm so glad you're excited," he said. "I was thinking we could leave next week."

I laughed. "Next week?" I repeated. "That's so soon!"

Jack nodded. "I know, but I don't want to wait any longer. I want to start our new adventure together, and I want to start it now."

I smiled, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation. "Okay," I said. "Let's do it."

And with that, our new adventure began.

Over the next few days, Jack and I worked tirelessly to plan our trip. We booked flights, hotels, and tours, and we spent hours researching the best places to visit and things to do.

Finally, the day of our departure arrived. We stood in the airport, our suitcases by our side, and our hearts full of excitement.

"Are you ready for this?" Jack asked, turning to me with a smile.

I nodded, feeling a sense of anticipation and wonder. "I was born ready," I said.

And with that, we set off on our new adventure, ready to face whatever challenges and opportunities came our way.

As we soared through the skies, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this new chapter in our lives. We'd been through so much, Jack and I, but we'd come out stronger on the other side.

And now, as we embarked on this new adventure together, I knew that we were ready for whatever came next. We were ready to face new challenges, to explore new places, and to experience new things.

We were ready to start our new life together, and I couldn't wait to see what the future held.

The plane landed with a bump, and Jack and I collected our luggage. We made our way through customs, and then we were out in the bright sunlight.

"Welcome to Paris," Jack said, smiling at me.

I grinned, feeling a sense of excitement and wonder. "It's beautiful," I said.

And it was. The city was everything I'd dreamed it would be. The buildings were stunning, the food was delicious, and the people were friendly.

Over the next few days, Jack and I explored the city. We visited the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and Notre Dame. We walked along the Seine, and we got lost in the winding streets of Montmartre.

It was an incredible experience, and I was so grateful to be sharing it with Jack.

As we sat in a charming little café, sipping coffee and watching the world go by, Jack turned to me with a smile.

"I'm so glad we did this," he said.

I nodded, feeling a sense of happiness and contentment. "Me too," I said.

And as we sat there, surrounded by the beauty and magic of Paris, I knew that this was.
