The Rise of Fenrir

Jin Mo stood amidst the battlefield, surrounded by the lifeless bodies of twenty Dire Wolves. The metallic scent of blood lingered in the air, mixing with the cool breeze that rustled the leaves. He exhaled slowly, his breath steadying after the exhausting battle.

"Hey, Nyx!" Jin Mo called out, his voice laced with anticipation.

"Yes, Jin Mo?" Nyx's ethereal voice echoed in his mind, calm as always.

"Can I turn the Dire Wolf King into my summon?"

Nyx hesitated briefly before answering, "The chances are low, but you can give it a try."

That was all the encouragement he needed. Jin Mo stepped toward the massive corpse of the Dire Wolf King, his hand extending over its lifeless form. He activated Rise, his Death Qi surging forth like a dark tide.

The atmosphere shifted instantly. Shadows stretched unnaturally, and an eerie black mist coiled around the dead beast. The sheer pressure of the summoning attempt was immense, drawing a significant amount of Qi from Jin Mo. He gritted his teeth, forcing his will upon the fallen king, commanding it to return to his service.

A tense silence filled the air.

Ding!

Summoning Successful!

The Dire Wolf King's body trembled, then jerked violently. Its bones snapped and realigned, forming a grotesque yet majestic skeletal frame. Deep red flames ignited in its hollow eye sockets, its very presence radiating an overwhelming aura of death.

New Summon: Dire Wolf King

Jin Mo let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding. A wave of satisfaction washed over him. Not only had he succeeded in raising the Dire Wolf King, but he had just gained an immensely powerful companion. Without missing a beat, he turned toward the two Alpha Dire Wolves and activated Rise once more.

Ding!

New Summons: Alpha Dire Wolves (2)

One after another, he raised every fallen wolf, forming a small army of undead beasts. Twenty skeletal Dire Wolves now stood before him, awaiting his command. The once fierce predators were now bound to his will.

Nyx hummed in amusement. "Congratulations! Now, let's give the Dire Wolf King a proper name."

Jin Mo crossed his arms, pondering for a moment. "Hmm…"

"Please don't name it carelessly," Nyx teased.

A small smirk tugged at his lips. "I'll name it… Fenrir."

Nyx gasped in delight. "Wow, that's a great name! Fenrir is a mythical beast from Earth, a legendary wolf associated with the wind."

Jin Mo nodded. "Yeah, I named it after that."

As if understanding, the Dire Wolf King—now Fenrir—let out a low, approving growl. Jin Mo turned his attention to its status window, eager to see its full potential.

Jin Mo smirked. "Cool."

Without wasting time, he opened Graveyard and commanded all the wolves to enter and stand by. Instantly, their skeletal forms dissolved into the abyss. He nodded in approval.

"If Dad sees this, he might ask too many questions. Better to keep it hidden for now."

He turned on his heel and began running through the dense forest, following the path his father had taken earlier. The shadows flickered as he moved, his steps light yet swift.

A rustle in the distance made him pause.

His sharp senses picked up movement ahead. He narrowed his eyes. It was familiar.

His father was coming back.

Both father and son spotted each other from a distance. Their pace slowed as they approached, their gazes meeting in silent understanding.

A smirk tugged at Jin Mo's lips.
