Kodak wakes up in a hospital bed, immediately looking around his surroundings.
"AHHH! WHERE AM I!?" He asks confused about his whereabouts.
Kodak looks to his left and sees Satsujin with Aiya, resting in a hospital bed just like him.
"(Thank god their safe.)" He thought to himself.
Kiko & Kuroi's voices call out to him, his eyes fall and he goes unconscious. KOdak wakes up and finds himself in the same dark domain as before. He hears yelling from his right and looks over at Kiko and Kuroi arguing.
"You let him get away. It's like I said, your destructive battle arts usage is poor and lackluster to a fault!" Kuroi angrily scolded Kiko.
"Now, Now. We can't just blame him, I mean we chose to teach him nothing." Kiko says, trying to calm Kuroi down.
"NO!" Kuroi yelled, upset at Kiko's response.
"Your carelessness led to Kodak's failure to capture and prevent Jashi from taking over a new vessel; now he's taken over someone else." Kuroi's anger only rose as he continued to lecture her.
Kodak walks over and gets in between the two's fighting and arguing.
"BOTH OF YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Kodak yells at them, frustrated by their useless bickering.
Kuroi snaps his head toward Kodak, his anger being directed at him.
"The fuck are you doing here?" Kuroi asks, confused about why Kodak was back in the dark domain once more.
Kodak walks up to Kuroi, his face remains a still expression until he's in front of Kuroi's face. His attitude seemed silent but angry.
Kodak suddenly grabs Kuroi by the collar, his eyes are different. They contained more pure rage and bloodlust.
"PEOPLE ALMOST DIED TODAY AND THOSE PEOPLE WERE ONES I CHERISHED!" Kodak's voice echoed throughout the dark domain they stood in.
Kodak then shifts his attention to Kiko his face seeming severely pissed. He releases his grip on Kuroi, dropping him to the floor, but before he can do anything with Kiko. Kuroi grabs Kodak by his jacket, yelling at him.
"YOU GODDAMMED BRAT! HOW DARE YOU LAY HANDS ON ME YOU FUCKING DISGRACE!" Kuroi's anger threatened Kodak immensely as he screamed at him violently.
The domain begins to shake as Kuroi's body radiants with revenant, the ground beneath them shakes and starts cracking.
"You mind being a little less bloodthirsty?" Kodak's cold and serious expression doesn't waver as he gets in Kuroi's face, not backing down from the dangerous aura that he's eluding.
Kodak then begins to feel Kiko's aura reacting to Kuroi's, her aura was vastly different from his. She was calmer and collected, while Kuroi was more violent and intimidating.
"Walk away from him Kuroi or else, I'll use that forbidden technique," Kiko warned him.
Kuroi looks at her for a moment, slightly surprised, and releases his aura. The domain becomes light again and he walks away from Kodak.
Kiko lets out a sigh of relief, she looks at Kodak, and with no hesitation, she smacks him over the head.
"OW! What the hell was that for Kiko-San?!" Kodak questions her.
Kiko breathes a little and speaks in a calmer tone. "That's what you get for picking a fight with Kuroi. I mean he's the only person who can fight the 5 strongest monarchs of the Fujiwara bloodline to a draw."
Kodak looks at Kiko confused at her statement and begins to question her.
"What is the Fujiwara bloodline? What is their relation with the Kawanari bloodline? What the hell is a monarch of the Fujijwara bloodline? I have so many unanswered questions." His questions only get more and more difficult for Kiko to answer.
"Kodak-San, listen we want to answer your questions but we can't."
Kodak's jaw tightens as he slams his fist into the ground, shaking the domain in frustration.
"Why can't you!" He angrily demands Kiko's answer.
She smacks her forehead in annoyance and gets in Kodak's face suddenly.
"I'll only say this once so listen closely Kodak. We can't reveal anything about the Fujiwara or even their relations with Kawanari blood until your strength gets strong enough to break the seal placed on us."
Kodak looks at her shocked and lifts his shirt and sees a weird symbol resembling that of a solar eclipse. Kiko looks at the symbol and her eyes widen in surprise.
"T-T-this is the seal used to store Kuroi and I in the next body and soul of the destructive ruler!?" Kiko looks at Kodak, her gaze questioning him without words needing to be said.
"I was wondering where this symbol came from, I was always being questioned about it. I guess that answers a question I didn't need to be answered in the first place-" Before Kodak could keep on yapping about the seal on his stomach Kiko started kneeling, taking Kodak by surprise.
Kuroi looks over at Kiko and Kodak, seeing that she suddenly started kneeling in front of Kodak.
Kuroi walks over to the two of them, wanting answers.
"What the hell are you doing Kiko-San?" Kodak questions her, deeply confused by her sudden act of what seemed to be kneeling.
"I'm simply showing my respect for the future destructive ruler. So please forgive me for not instantly recognizing you Kawanari-Sama." Kiko's voice had gone from the usually calm voice to a voice that contained an overwhelming sense of loyalty and seriousness.
"Please just act like yourself Kiko-San, I can't stand people who can't act like themselves just cause of a title or how someone else is," Kodak said, his voice eluding a tone of annoyance.
He looks to his left and notices Kuroi's shocked expression.
"What? Is there something on my face?" Kodak begins to wipe his face off if anything was on there.
Kuroi pointed at Kodak and his finger began to tremble.
"Y-your the next destructive ruler?!" His voice was utterly shocked at Kodak's symbol on his stomach.
"Oh, this? Yeah, I guess I am but I don't care about that. I'm Kodak Kawanari and that's what I only strive to be."
Kuroi's attitude becomes serious and he looks at Kodak, seemingly pissed off.
"Don't even dream of downplaying yourself because if you do that, it'll be your downfall and I don't wanna see another destructive ruler fall in such a pathetic manner."
His attitude was somewhat nostalgic to Kodak, it seemed like someone he knew very well. Kodak looks at him for a
"What was your relationship with the Kawanari family? The way you reacted to my family's death was almost as bad as mine," Kodak asks, wanting more answers once more.
Kuroi scoffs at Kodak's question.
"I can't reveal that yet, That seal on your stomach still prevents us from revealing anything worthwhile to anyone of Kawanari blood."
Kodak's head hangs in annoyance.
"This seal is such bullshit. I swear my existence was cursed like my access to revenant. A cursed revenant, ain't that just ironic?"
Kiko looks at Kodak's struggle to find anything out and an idea pops into her head.
"Hey, Kodak."
"Hmm? what is it Kiko-San?"
"There is one way to destroy the seal that prevents us from revealing your heritage."
Kodak looks at her intrigued and smirks.
"Oh, yeah? And what is that?" He asks, wanting to know something for once.
"If you can reach a certain level of power along with an understanding that's equal to or greater than your current power."
Kodak smiles and stands up from his sitting position.
"I'll do it then, I will free you both from the seal. But I want us to tell each other everything and to treat each other like a normal person." Kodak walks over to Kiko and sticks out his hand.
"So, do we have a deal Kiko-San?" He questions Kiko, waiting for her answer.
"Alright, you got yourself a deal Kodak-San. But if any of us breaks the deal then we'll break each other respectively." Kiko's response struck Kodak, it was powerful, just, and truthful.
Kodak and Kiko shake hands with one another, solidifying their deal.
Kiko puts her hand on Kodak's forehead and it begins to emit a bright light.
"With this technique, you'll be able to freely exit this domain whenever you please, but if used too much your mind will take psychological damage, and potentially damage your brain. Your current limit is about a month or two, but that will increase according to your mastery and knowledge of revenant." Kiko explained thoroughly to Kodak.
Kodak smirked at her and nodded, thanking her.
His eyes open as he finds himself back in the Tensai's household. He tried getting up but something was lying on him underneath the blankets.
"Hmm?" Kodak pulls the blankets up and sees Fumiko underneath them, he runs his hand through her hair. She felt warm and comforting to the touch, it was amazing.
"Thanks for being by my side Fumiko-Chan," Kodak said while smiling at Fumiko before briefly falling back to sleep.
