Mark felt the warm sunshine on his body and squinted his eyes to adapt to the light. Outside the cave, the sun was shining, the birds were singing and the flowers were fragrant, which formed a sharp contrast with the dark and humid environment inside the cave. The breeze blew, bringing bursts of the fragrance of soil, mixed with the fragrance of wild flowers, which was refreshing. Several butterflies danced among the flowers, and their colorful wings shone with charming luster in the sun. In the distance, the rolling mountains were looming in the clouds, forming a beautiful landscape painting.
Albert's huge canopy covered the sky and cast a huge shadow on the ground. At the edge of the shadow, the sun and darkness intertwined to form a clear dividing line. On the ground, fallen leaves, dead branches and gravel were scattered all over the ground, recording the traces of the previous battle. Some unknown wild flowers grew tenaciously from the cracks in the gravel, dotted this slightly desolate land, showing the tenacity and beauty of life.
Mark looked up at Albert's canopy. The dense branches and leaves were like green clouds, covering most of the sky. The sun shone through the gaps between the branches and leaves, forming mottled light and shadows on the ground, swaying gently with the breeze. He clenched his fists tightly, feeling the surging energy in his body, and his heart was full of hope and determination. "I will definitely find a way to restore you, Albert." Mark said softly, his tone firm and gentle. He patted Albert's thick trunk, his eyes full of concern.
Albert seemed to feel Mark's determination, and the huge canopy swayed slightly, making a "rustling" sound, as if responding to Mark's words. He stretched out a few slender branches and gently touched Mark's shoulder.
They walked down the mountain. The mountain road was rugged and covered with gravel, making it very difficult to walk. Mark carefully supported Albert, trying to prevent him from being tripped by stones.
Along the way, Mark kept trying to control the black matter in his body. He raised his right hand, and with a thought, the black substance gushed out of his arm like liquid, spreading rapidly and covering his entire palm. The surface of the black substance was covered with fine black scales, reflecting a metallic luster in the sun, and the friction between the scales made a subtle "rustling" sound, as creepy as a venomous snake spitting out its tongue.
Mark tried to change the black substance into various shapes to test its capabilities and limits. The black substance flowed like liquid in his hands, sometimes turning into a sharp blade, sometimes into a hard shield, and sometimes into a flexible rope, with many changes and amazing. Finally, the black substance stabilized into a sharp black dagger in his hand, the blade of the dagger flashed with cold light and exuded a dangerous breath.
Albert used branches to push away the bushes and vines that blocked the road and cleared the way for Mark. His huge body moved slowly in the woods, and the thick branches were like a huge broom, sweeping away the obstacles that blocked the road. The leaves rubbed against each other and made a "crackling" sound, which was particularly clear in the silent forest.
After walking for a long time, they found a stream. The stream was clear and flowing slowly, making a "gurgling" sound. The stream was covered with green grass and wild flowers were in full bloom, and the scenery was pleasant. Several birds were playing by the stream, making crisp chirping sounds, adding a touch of vitality to the quiet forest.
Mark leaned down, scooped up the stream water and drank a few sips. The clear stream water was sweet and delicious, which made him feel refreshed and his tired body was relieved a little. He looked up and saw that Albert's branches also hung down to the stream to absorb water, making a "gulp gulp" sound, as greedy as a baby sucking its mother's milk. With the replenishment of water, Albert's leaves became greener and full of vitality.
After a short rest, they continued to walk down the stream. Mark looked back at Albert from time to time, his eyes full of worry and hope.
"We will definitely find a way, Albert." Mark whispered, his tone firm and full of power. "Let's go." Mark said, taking a step and moving forward firmly. Albert followed closely behind, his huge figure casting a long shadow in the mountains and forests. Mark walked along the cobblestone path beside the stream, kicked a small stone that was in the way, and it rolled down the hillside.
"The water in this stream is so clean," Mark said to himself, and looked up at Albert again.
Albert lowered his dense branches and leaves, as if responding to Mark's words.
Albert's thick roots occasionally tripped over some protruding stones, making a slight "click" sound. After Mark noticed it, he walked to the side of Albert close to the stream, reached out and held his rough trunk,
"Be careful, don't hurt the roots."
The stream sparkled in the sun, and the pebbles at the bottom of the water were clearly visible. A blue bird landed on Albert's outstretched branch and tilted its head to look at Mark.
Mark looked up and looked around. The dense forest blocked most of the sky, and only mottled light spots fell through the leaves. He suddenly stopped and found that the stream flowed faster and the sound of water became louder.
"There seems to be a waterfall ahead," Mark pointed to the front and said, "Let's be careful."
Albert also stopped and stretched out a branch to test forward. When they walked to the edge of the waterfall, they found that the stream poured down from a height, forming a white water curtain and splashing countless water. Below the waterfall was a clear pool, surrounded by moss and ferns. Mark reached out and touched the stone by the pool. The surface of the stone was smooth and moist, and there was a hint of coolness.
The splashing mist made the air humid, and a rainbow appeared above the pool.
