Chapter 1

Callie Wilson, my only sister, fell head over heels for The Prince of the Capital's Elite Circle.

To create an opportunity for herself, she didn't think twice about spiking his drink at a party.

I didn't stop her then. In fact, I even helped her deliver the doctored beverage. Moreover, I thoughtfully booked a fancy hotel room for her plan.

In my previous life, I tried to prevent her when I caught her tampering with the drink, warning her about the Miles Family's extensive power in both legitimate and underground circles. I cautioned her that crossing them was like asking for trouble.

That night, however, Alexander Reed ended up with another woman. By the next day, he was unexpectedly engaged to her.

My sister kept quiet about it. But on our way home, she pushed me off a bridge.

I died on impact, my body crushed under a speeding truck. In my final moments, she screamed at me, accusing me of ruining her chance to marry into wealth.

When I came to, I found myself back at that fateful party.

This time, I was determined to let her actions backfire!

——

As I watched Chester drink the spiked wine, my sister stood nearby, her eyes gleaming with sly satisfaction.

Soon, the drug took hold. Chester's face turned an odd shade of red. His guards quickly moved in, supporting him as they escorted him upstairs.

I gave my sister the "OK" sign and handed her the room key. I was about to leave when she grabbed my arm.

She whispered threateningly, "Don't think I don't know what you're up to! You're staying here until this is done!"

"Keep an eye outside the room for me! If Mr. Reed's people show up, you'd better know what to say and what to keep to yourself!"

This time, I didn't interfere. I wanted to see how far she'd take her scheming.

My sister thought I would try to stop her; it's what I did before. Instead, this time, I let go of her hand.

Noticing the bodyguards watching her from afar, I smiled and said, "Don't worry, you're my sister. If I don't help you, who will?"

"When you become part of the Miles Family, just remember your sister, okay?"

In my past life, she believed I had ruined her shot at a wealthy marriage, blaming me for her failure and my terrible death.

This time, I won't get in her way. I'll even support her every step of the way.

Let's see how far she can push her luck!

Kathy didn't hesitate. Tossing her head back, she smirked arrogantly.

"At least you know your place. Once I'm part of the Miles Family, I'll get you a job as a driver or secretary. That should keep you clothed and fed for life!"

"When we go upstairs, keep your mouth shut. If anyone asks, say you're staff waiting for Mr. Reed's orders. And if you mess up my plans, you know what'll happen!"

Her sharp gaze pierced me as she grabbed my wrist and dragged me upstairs with her.

The security stood at the door as my sister made an excuse about bringing water and went in.

I stayed hidden at the end of the hallway, keeping watch.

Not long after, a loud thump came from the room. Moments later, Kathy was hauled out, unconscious, by a group of men. Five bodyguards, wearing lecherous grins, pulled her into the next room.

Seeing this, I sighed in relief and clapped my hands, ready to leave.

Suddenly, a hard hit struck the back of my head. Everything went black and I passed out.

When I regained consciousness, my limbs were tied to the bed with silk ribbons. In front of me was Chester's sweaty face.

My eyes grew wide in shock and I tried to yell for help.

Before I could, he silenced me with a rough kiss, his lips pressing hard against mine.

"Don't think I don't know something was off with that drink tonight," he said, his voice cold and menacing.

"Since you brought it, you'll face the consequences…"

My cries for help were muffled as the room filled with heavy breathing. I struggled fiercely, using all my strength, but it was futile.

Whatever drug Kathy had gotten was too strong—Chester didn't stop until daybreak.

When he finally fell asleep, I endured the pain throughout my body, quietly freeing myself and getting dressed.

Chester was known for his ruthless and vengeful nature. I wasn't foolish enough to stick around as Kathy would have.

After carefully removing any traces of my presence in the room, I made my escape.
