Chester appeared to be a compassionate individual, contrary to my initial impression.

Yet, I was unsure how he would respond if he learned I was involved in that particular event.

Absorbed in my thoughts, I strolled beside him, oblivious to the fact that he was guiding me out of the medical facility. I was taken aback when I finally noticed my surroundings.

Franklin playfully touched my nose and smiled. "Head home and take it easy. Did you really think your little fib fooled me?"

Before leaving, he studied my face intently, as if trying to recall something from the past.

"You're around the same age as my sister. I wonder how she's doing these days. Does she hold it against me for not finding her all this time?"

I'd heard the story of the Chandler Family's missing heir from colleagues multiple times.

But as someone uninvolved, I didn't feel it was my place to say much.
