Jasper:
It wasn't making any sense. When I woke up, there was no letter.
Normally, when Phoe left me notes, they were on the bedside table, but when I woke up, there was nothing there.
"Do you know what the letter said?" I ask Lita.
She looks just as surprised as I do that no letter was here.
"I don't. She just asked me not to say where she was going, but she also wanted someone from the coven to be able to find her if anything happened to you. I'm sorry, Jasper. I'm not sure why she didn't end up leaving the letter," Lita frowns.
"Wait, why wouldn't you just be able to call her?" I ask, remembering I couldn't connect to her when I tried calling.
Lita shrugs.
"She made it sound like she was leaving her phone behind or getting a new one. Again, Jasper, I'm really not sure. She was very vague," Lita sighs.
The house that I'd built and always felt comfortable in was suddenly feeling suffocating.
