Chapter 55: Asking for Her Help (Part 2)

Just as the thought crossed her mind, Shauna's enthusiastic smile suddenly darkened, like a cloud passing over a sunny sky. "No need to be stingy, Claire. We never doubted Sarah's gossip. If she said—"

"Wait, hold on!" Claire interrupted, "Did you just say *Sarah*?"

Shauna nodded, a smug grin spreading across her chubby face. "What? Ready to admit it now?"

Oh no... That woman, Sarah! Claire should have known better than to trust someone with the nickname "The Gossip Queen." Of course Sarah had spread everything around the office! Claire couldn't believe how fast word had traveled—she'd only told Sarah that morning about living under the same roof as Lucas, and by afternoon, it had spread like wildfire. She dreaded to think what Lucas would say if the whole office knew. She could already feel her ears burning in anticipation. Thankfully, at least Sarah hadn't spilled the beans about her secret crush on him.

"Claire, what are you mumbling about?" Lauren asked, puzzled.

Claire snapped out of her thoughts and smiled awkwardly. "So, what do you three need from me?"

"Oh, don't call us 'seniors' or anything like that!" Shauna waved her hand dramatically. "We're only a few years older than you and have been in the company a bit longer. You can just call us by our names."

Claire forced a laugh, then asked, "So, what can I help you with?"

"Well," Coco leaned in, smiling brightly, "we're obsessed with the 'Kiss Kiss BB' perfume that our boss designed, and we want your help."

"My help?" Claire repeated, confused as she looked between the three women. "But I don't have a 'Kiss Kiss BB.'"

"Of course, we know that," Shauna rolled her eyes and shot Claire a look. "But you're close with our boss."

"And then what?" Claire asked, getting more confused. Besides, she wasn't even that close with Lucas, so what were they getting at?

"You really are dense," Lauren bluntly remarked. "You do know that 'Kiss Kiss BB' was discontinued, right?"

"Yeah, I know that. But so what?"

"Well, since you know," Coco continued, "we want you to ask the boss to make another batch. We love that perfume so much."

"Ah, I see," Claire finally understood, but something still didn't add up. "But if you love it so much, why didn't you buy a bottle when it first came out?"

"Oh my god, I can't with you!" Shauna slapped her forehead in frustration, looking like she might bang her head against the wall.

"Claire, you're really exhausting us here!" Coco added, glaring at her. "Don't you know that 'Kiss Kiss BB' was a limited edition? And our boss made it clear that company employees aren't allowed to buy it. Anyone who tries gets fired."

Claire winced awkwardly. She really didn't know much about the company's rules.

"Well, even if you're asking me now, it's not going to help. You guys know the boss better than I do. I'm just temporarily staying at his place. He wouldn't listen to me," Claire explained. It was absurd—they thought she could change Lucas's mind? That man was as stubborn and domineering as they came.

"Ugh, Claire Grace, you're so lame! Just answer us—are you going to help or not?" Shauna, trying to maintain a smile, had clearly lost her patience.

"It's not that I don't want to help, it's just—"

"Ugh, forget it! She's clearly not going to help us," Lauren said, standing up in frustration. "Let's go."

"Claire Grace, let me tell you something," Coco added harshly, smirking as she got up to leave. "You're stingy, have no sense of style, and even if you live with the boss and secretly crush on him, he's never going to fall for you."

With that biting remark, the three women left, leaving Claire sitting there, utterly speechless.

*Crush?* Did she just hear Coco mention her secret crush on Lucas? Sarah had spilled *everything*!

Oh no… That woman was *so* dead!
