"Your unit is a force to be reckoned with, but I still have a card that is efficient to….counter you," Gilbron announced gladly as he dropped the gleaming card into the depth of the null zone and took a deep breath.
He sighed and asserted, "I activate my counter spell, Believer Defender of The Mighty One!!"
An awed frown clouded Gdark's face when he caught the slight glimpse of the brimming yellow flashes spaciously emerging throughout his foe's feet. He even gritted his teeth and clenched his stammering knuckles as the flashes wiped out every trace of the explosion on Gilbron's field and the ones that tried to consume him.
Casmine glimpsed at the brimming flashes within the table, painting a hopeful glance on her entire face and soothingly starting to smile. As for her twin sister, Lorina, only showed an odd furrow toward The Young Man who was being blown by the gale before she shrugged it off and burst out a blissful giggle.
"This bizarre card game even has an absurd name for a spell," Lorina complained sarcastically, shaking her head
"At least it helped Gilbron from surviving that one killer attack," Lorina added, sheepishly chuckling.
Eventually, the flashes on the board dimmed like an out-of-battery lamp, unfolding Gilbron's field that no longer possessed any units to guard him. Having no unit didn't sprinkle bothersome within The Young Man as he puffed away the sore air, shrinking the orange energy from his back.
"This counterspell nullified any life point damage, but as a cost to casting it…" Gilbron paused his sentence as he tossed the card from his hand into the null zone until only one of them remained. "I must discard my cards until I only have one."
"My life point will go down into one as another part of the casting cost," Gilbron added, peeking at his health bar that only contained one last drop of its remains and the life point turned down to 1.
Gilbron brightly beamed on his lips, "More exciting surprise for, your turn is automatically ended."
Gdark grunted, "Luck saved you this time."
"Fine then. I just have to wait to crush you in the next turn," Gdark muttered, suspiciously glaring toward the last in his opponent's hand
Nevertheless, The Young Man drew another card from the top of his deck and freed a pleased grin. Gilbron let out a delighted cackles one gem in his mana zone shattered without leaving any traceable remains. He bestowed the newest card to his opponent, unraveling the artwork couple of decks being buried inside the dark blue coffin.
"I paid one mana to activate this spell card, Grave Robbing Draw!!" Gilbron announced affirmatively, putting his newest spell card into the null zone.
Gdark hissed, "Grave Robbing Draw?"
"Yes, this spell card allows me to sacrifice five cards from the bottom of my deck for drawing one card to my hand," Gilbron explained, dumping five cards from the deck into the null zone and hastily picking another card from the top of his deck.
"This is not over yet as I paid two mana costs to activate this spell card…" Gilbron continued casting new spell cards, splintering the two gems from his mana zones and revealing another spell card that glowed a bluish shimmer within it. "Tributing Mana Restore."
"This card allows me to restore 2 mana by placing five cards from the deck into the null zone," Gilbron added, putting his newest card into the null zone before following it up by throwing five more cards.
The constant drawing and tossing of the card into the null zone flared Gdark's nerves as he shuddered his holding hand. Lorina who glimpsed The Young Man's action began to tilt her head and heave her bemused eyebrows the longer she fixated on her observation, switching her stare at her twin sister who beamed with exhilaration.
"Quite odd that he just dumped his cards, I guess this is his way of winning the game because he might have some crazy broken card in his hand, right?" Lorina asked.
Casmine nodded, "Ah…I'm impressed you started to understand."
"He indeed already has one card that can make him instantly win this game after he completes all the requirements," Casmine remarked.
"And I'm glad he could use it now," Casmine uttered thankfully.
"Wow…my guess is correct then," Lorina mumbled in a little bit of disbelief. "Then the only thing I can hope is his opponent didn't somehow find a convenient card to prevent his winning chance."
The twin could grasp a mitigating atmosphere as they resumed to sharpen their focus toward Gilbron who slowly putting his chosen card on the center field. A bitter glare toppled on Gdarl's face when a glimmering white light shone through his opponent's center field, spawning the shadowy silhouette of a floating figure.
"I paid 3 mana for summoning one ultimate unit that can bring me an instantaneous victory!!" The Young Man announced enthusiastically, blowing the storming glare throughout the board that quaked the table and heavily pushed Gdark who stunned in uneasiness.
"Is…that's why you temporarily smile on one of your….turns!?" Gdark guessed shakily. "
Gilbron nodded, "Precisely. Even though you're a prideful and arrogant person, I'm impressed you are quite observant too."
"Come forth, Infinite Necromoz!!" The Young Man chanted, pointing his marking fingers upward.
The flash finally reduced into nothingness when the figure from the center field cleanly jumped out, unveiling its true self within Gdark's shocked eyes. He motionlessly witnessed a floating golden skeletal figure with pitch-black rope with its torn-off part below, a sparkling gem surface necklace that took the shape of the wrathful skeletons, and a head made of combined black flares resembling a whirling twister.
'A unit with both 0 attack and defense points. Even his critical point is 0 too. Unit with this kind of stat must have a hidden ability' Gdark mumbled within his mind, flooding his mind with skepticism as he pondered at one card he held. 'I'm not even sure I could stop this unit effect with the only card I had.'
'The only good thing for me is having a 14 life point, but I'm not sure if I could survive this unit,' Gdark added, frustratedly wincing. 'Especially, I didn't know much about Infinite Necromoz.'
Gilbron giggled and provoked, "Seems you are impatient on witnessing the true power of Infinite Necromoz."
"Alright then, I activate the first ability of Infinite Necromoz first ability!" Gilbron shouted, raising his delighted voice. "When this card summoned on the field, I put ten cards from the deck into the null zone!!"
Infinite Necroz mashed its knuckles and popped out a giant golden infinity projection on its forehands, commanding the group of 10 cards to float from the top of the deck. Then, all the levitating cards sunk into The Young Man's null zone like rain dropping into the wavering ocean.
"Oh before I activate another ability, I shoutout a big thanks for you," Gilbron said sarcastically, raising his hand and opening his thrilled smirk as his palm emanated the glimmering orange gleam.
Gdark creaked, "What did you mean by that, Annoying Rogue?"
"Your play style is full of sacrificing a couple of units for scoring an almost never-ending burn effect," Gilbron reaffirmed, lifting his neck and broadening his delighted beam within his lips. "Remember, you destroyed a lot of my units and even your units throughout the match."
"You are one of the huge contributors for Infinite Necroz to use its full potential!!" The Young Man proclaimed.
"I activate Infinite Necroz's second ability!!!" Gilbron shouted, shoving his empowered hand nearly at his unit.
The order from Gilbron convinced his unit on the center to hoist its hand and surged out the lavender electrocuting strings from its fingers. Furthermore, the strings polymerized into a violet wormhole that broadcasted a rapid storm on both sides of the players' field, planting a vexed flinch on Gdark's face.
Null zones on the two players abruptly whirled at rapid pacing the longer Infinite Necroz held the wormhole, unshackling its mouth that gusted the purplish smoke. Even The Young Man plunged his knuckle to take a glimpse of the above, fulminating the binding blazes on his wrist.
"If null zones from both players have a total amount of 40 cards…" Gilbron inhaled a couple of chilling breaths, winking one of his eyes. "I alone already had more than twenties, but you also have ten or even more cars in the null zones. That's why in the previous statement, I thanked you for helping me unleash the effect."
"Infinite Necroz can deal 17 life point damage to the opponent," Gilbron finished his sentence.
Gilbron chirped, "Even better….this effect couldn't be stopped by nullifying spell card and your units too, Mighty Viscable."
Gdark gasped and faintly frowned in grimace as he locked onto the center unit which transformed the purplish color into the sun-orange one, detonating the arraying flares. A sense of hopelessness even corrupted Gdark's thought especially when he hesitantly wailed after watching his null zones storm off the rising tornado of cards.
Gdark grimaced. Damn it my aggressive fighting style is now becoming my downfall by letting this crazy effect be unleashed' 'If I still have 20 health at least….at least…I could survive this.
That Kirin Card is a big factor too. Gdark bowed his head as he conceded his incoming defeat.
Gilbron clapped his hands, "It was the most exciting Cardvalion match I ever felt in my entire existence."
"But every other exciting match must have a clear conclusion too," Gilbron commented, rigidly pointing his fingers to the middle.
Gilbron hummed, "Alright, now it's my turn to create a more epic chant on finishing my opponent."
"Infinite Necroz, finish your opponent with one powerful blast!" Gilbron declared his chant. "Victorious Beam From The Death!!!"
The recent declaration of the chant intrigued Casmine to giggle and freed eager lips, while her twin sister only cringed. Regardless, Lorina pushed her face to her palm before returning her glance at the board, displaying the view of Infinite Necroz drowning the two tornadoes into the wormhole.
"Unnecessary chant on finishing his opponent, but thank god this card match is finally over with Gilbron as a winner," Lorina uttered thankfully.
Casmine giggled joyfully, "And he splendidly won with his ultimate trump card, amazing!"
With all the tornadoes absorbed into the wormhole, Infinite Necroz slammed its knuckles forward. A bombarding reaction was triggered in the form of a golden blast that swarmed the entire board. Gdark could only close his eyes as the blast amplified into the same size as his upper body, ready to consume him.
The impending blast stampeded onto Gdark who spontaneously shrieked in agony, stammering his arms. Even the front part of his cloth was incinerated by the racing blast alongside a couple of blood dripping from his limbs, prolonging the suffering as he raised his shriek.
The blast initiated its last assault by exploding into a shockwave crashing onto Gdark, jouncing him, and losing the chance of maintaining a steady stand. Regardless, Gdark's falling body impacted the front of Bangasoul Pillar, puking out a huge chunk of blood and ending the shriek
At the same time, the pillar radiated a ray of dancing light within its lantern after the health bar on Gdark's side fractured and the life points numbers dropped to zero. Gdark quickly regained a staggering standing position, glimpsing at the lantern hanging on the pillar behind him spawning a horde of chains with the arrow shape edges.
"Since I already lost this card match, I shall let the Bangasoul Pillar take my soul as punishment," Gdark uttered, bowing his head.
The execution from the soul-collecting pillar was not successful as the piking chains were enfolded by the orange aura and decimated them into ashes. Gdark was startled as he captured the sighting of all the chains exploding, broadening his eyebrows when the orange aura shrouded the pillar.
"It will be a waste if my future rival going to die here," Gilbron exclaimed, thrusting his hands forward and taking one step closer.
The Young Man cleared his throat and guessed, "Besides, you are the type of person who could survive this sort of thing."
"Your guess is not wrong, annoying rogue," Gdark stated, blowing a chilling air before he scanned the Bangasoul pillar that was being crumbled piece by piece.
A frown of disbelief shone on Gdark's face the longer he perceived the pillar especially when Gilbron's energy-covered hand, snapped his fingers. The Young Man evoked the rising explosive wave and flawlessly incinerated the giant pillar faster than the blink of an eye, leaving no remains. The erasure of the pillar sent a quivering fear within Gdark, gasping in bitter horror.
He just destroyed The Bangasoul Pillar without any kind of effort!! A pillar I designed to be indestructible against almost every kind of magic.'
Gdark swallowed a gulp of his saliva. Even without further observation, I figured out this is not a normal nonhuman. This is a literal cosmic being who took a human shell!!
Gdark grimaced. If I face this monster now…..he probably kill me….as if I'm just like an ant!!. Truly a horrific display of cosmic being capability.
Perceiving at The Young Man who paused his steps when reaching the narrow distance of his potential rival, the twins showed their reposeful stares. Casmine and Lorina even began to follow his direction, convincing Gilbron to whistle and fade the entire sun-like energy from shelving him.
"I just demonstrated my basic power to you" Gilbron asserted. "Simply, a power where I can turn everything else into an explosion."
"I'm….aware you…still have more of it!" Gdark rebutted, darting his squirming eyes at The Young Man.
Gilbron chortled, "Oh yeah…I haven't shown it yet since it will ruin the surprise when we test our limit one day."
"I might rescue you from having your soul absorbed by the pillar, but you still have to do the request from the winner," Gilbron sneered.
"Will you grant the request?" Gilbron asked, propelling his forehand.
Gdark wiped out the sweat on his face and forcibly expressed his affirmed glare, "F-fine then, annoying rogue.
"Then, make your request now," Gdark insisted.
