Making of Enemies

"Hyoughh!" Legolas was shown running towards a horde of wolves.

They were all huddled up together, snarling as he approached them at threatening speeds.

Legolas was an Adventurer class; they excelled in every category of combat. Archer, Melee, and Magic.

The only downfall of an adventurer class is that other specific classes can excel higher in one specific category than another. For example; If an adventurer class fought 1v1 against a swordsman in melee, that swordsman will excel higher than them from it being their primary class.

But, the adventurer class can also switch his arsenal at any given time. If he's overwhelmed by the swordsman in melee combat, he can just switch to his skill of archery, and overwhelm the swordsman with ranged attacks. The same could be said with magic.

All adventurer classes can be unpredictable when it comes to combat, that's why it's the most liked class in Isekai World Online.

Legolas managed to hack and slash through the group of wolves, killing them without mercy.

Their bodies went limp, and they vanished into particles of data.

"Wooo! Good job Legolas, you took out the fodder while I handled the big guy!" Alice was shown clapping in the distance, teasing Legolas.

Behind Alice was a large Ogre, with multiple bullet holes in its body.

Legolas sighed from her teasing.

"I like you better when you shut up, Alice."

"Pwa ha ha! I'm just joking around, good job! I'm glad we cleaned up these guys pretty fast."

Alice went over to the Ogre, jumping on its belly.

"But as you can see, this is the first-ever Ogre that I've killed!" Alice held her automatic machine gun inside her hand, resting it on her shoulder, "When you kill the same old mobs, they usually vanish into particles, but for mobs newer you haven't killed in the game, their bodies stay behind so you can loot them."

"...Hmm, I see, I didn't know that, despite my long hours playing this game." Responded Legolas.

"Ha! See, I told you that stupid guidebook is just a waste of time! All you need to do is keep playing the game and figuring out stuff for yourself like I do. It makes the gameplay more exhilarating that way."

"Oh yeah? Well, do you know what happens when you kill an Ogre, Alice?"

"Huh? Whaddya mean? They just die, duh. Nothing special happens. Are you asking me that question because you're confused, or because you know something that I don't?"

Legolas chuckled to himself.

"Ahahaha, so you don't, I see."

"Hey, what's so funny, Legolas?! Why are you laughing at me?"

"Unfold!" Legolas quickly opened his Personal Hub, pulling a cloak from his inventory, "No hard feelings!" He shrouded himself in the cloak, turning his body invisible.

"Hey, why did you use the invisible cloak?! What are you wasting a Level 2 item for?"

PFFT!

...The sound of someone releasing gas was heard.

But that someone ended up being the Ogre itself.

The air started to smell, as its feces spilled from its butt, covering the ground.

"Oh god...! Oh my god, that's so gross! Ew ew ew!!" Alice hopped off the ogre and covered her nose, delirious from the smell, "Legolas, you jerk! Why didn't you tell me sooner or later it was gonna shit itself?! That's so gross, why is that added to the game? Ugh, what were the developers thinking?" Alice walked away, nearly puking from the stench.

"Hey, you bastard, reveal yourself! I won't just let you get away with this without beating your face in!" Alice walked deep into the forest, visibly angry from her posture, and expression, "Stupid jerk, what did I do to deserve that?"

"Well, for starters; you act like you know everything about the game, and you call the guidebook useless. That right there just proves it's not entirely worthless as you thought." Standing behind Alice was Legolas, who held the invisible cape in his hand.

"There you are, I'll gun you down!" Alice turned around in haste, pointing her machine gun at his face.

"Hey, no need to get all worked up, it's best if we leave this area quickly. When an Ogre releases its feces everywhere, it attracts mobs. I'm not trying to get into another fight."

"Nnn. You'll get your punishment later, I suppose, asshole!" Alice placed the gun on her shoulder, puffing up her cheek, pouty, "That smell alone is worse than obtaining some poison debuff, I hate you!"

"Was it that bad? Hahaha, I never smelled it before. Well, besides that, where is Jacob? Have you seen him anywhere?"

"Uhh, no, he ran off into the forest, but I'm sure he'll be alright, considering we're in the forest biome."

The Forest Biome is recommended for beginner-level players. Green grass grows on dirt, and there are plenty of plants you could take and sell, or use to make potions. The mobs here are fairly easy to defeat early on in Isekai World Online.

The Biome usually spawns Wolves, Slimes, Ogres, Goblins, Trolls, and Werewolves.

"Well, let's start looking for him before it turns dark and spawns the Night Mobs." Said Legolas.

"Fineee, what a pain, why can't he just stay with the group instead of going off by himself, exploring?" Alice sighed, but continued to walk deeper into the forest, "I'm sure he went this way."

"Right behind you." Said Legolas.

The two party members made their way deep into the forest, following a trail of floating EXP fragments.

EXP fragments were loot dropped from mobs or NPCs, and collecting it allows you to level up to become stronger.

"What's up with all of the EXP?" Cried, Alice.

"I'm assuming it's a trail left behind by Jacob to let us know his whereabouts."

"Huh, that's pretty smart, but can't he just message us in our Party Group chat instead?"

"If he does that, then what will he say? 'Hey guys, I'm over here by some random tree', sure, that'll help us a lot." Legolas teasingly responded.

"Oh shut up! But I guess you're right..."

Alice and Legolas continued to follow the trail of EXP fragments, even collecting them for points to level up.

"Up ahead, I see an open spot, it looks like some ruins." Cried Legolas.

"That must be where Jacob went off to! C'mon, let's hurry up!" Alice started jogging forward, but Legolas managed to grab her wrist, stopping her momentum, "Huh? What are you doing?"

"Wait just a sec. The trail of EXP could be left behind by Jacob, but we are not 100% certain that it is him. We must be cautious about our actions."

"Oh... yeah I guess you're right, sorry!" Alice joined her hands together in a small prayer, apologizing, "I'm such an idiot sometimes!"

"No, it's fine, you're just too carefree."

"I really am…" She responded, cringing.

"I'm an Elf, so I'll use one of my intrinsic abilities to scout the area and see what's ahead of us. Stay here until I'm done."

"O-Oh, that's right, elves are naturally born in the forest, so their intrinsic ability allows them to blend in with nature, right?"

"Well, yes, it's something like that. We elves have the ability to camouflage our skin around any plants, so we can blend in. By doing that, our presence is completely sealed, allowing no one to know our whereabouts."

"That's a pretty cool ability!"

Legolas rubbed the back of his head chuckling.

"It is when it comes to sneak attacks, but outside of that, it's pretty useless. That's why elves are rarely picked; their intrinsic abilities are biome-orientated."

"Well, all you have to do is just bring your enemy into a forest, and bam! You won the battle, simple as that."

"You're fairly headstrong, aren't you, Alice?"

"You know it!"

Legolas walked forward, making his way past the gunner, "Alright, I'll be back, try your best to stay quiet, and if anything comes up, call for me."

"Alright, I got it. Good luck!"

"Mmm," Legolas shook his head, "I'll need it."

The elf crouched down and whispered; "Concealment!"

His body would suddenly become green, blending in with the grass around him.

Legolas leaped into the trees above him to get a higher view of the ruins up ahead.

He circled around the area, making sure he could see anything suspicious, like players or perhaps even guild members like the Swindlers.

("I see nothing yet, just the ruins. From the looks of it, the place is empty.")

"Hey, let me go, you goddamn bastard! Wait until my friends get here, they'll kill you!"

("That voice... is it Jacob?")

Legolas leaped onto a branch, crouching down to glance up ahead.

("...So it is him, but wait... those people... they're members of the Swindlers guild?!")

"Oh really? Your friends, huh? Pfft! Let's see it then—where are they?!"

"Th-They'll be here to kick your ass, you can count on it, you bastard!"

"What a loudmouth, at this rate, he'll be attracting a horde of mobs." Said one of the Swindlers members.

"I say we kill him." Said the other guild member.

"Yeah, that sounds like a damn good idea."

"Let him go, you jerks!" All of a sudden, Alice came running from the forest, blasting away with her weapon.

Rounds of ammunition sprayed through the air, connecting against the guild members' bodies.

They quickly released Jacob and moved swiftly, appearing behind Alice.

"That hurt you fucking bitch!" One of them slammed their hand against her neck, knocking her out completely.

"Tsk, so this must be one of the friends he was talking about." Said the guild member.

"Yeah, without a doubt. She's a gunner class, but she's five levels under us. I say we kill her."

"Or maybe we can use her as bait when we explore the underground ruins."

"Oh, that's a damn good idea! Let's tie her up and bring this worthless Archer class with us."

("Damnit Alice, why didn't you stay put?!")

Legolas was visibly frustrated.

Both of his friends were now captured.
