"This might be my only chance, I'll go to the tower of memories" I said courageously. "You don't actually expect me to let you go there on your own" Star said in concern. "Please let me come Astrid", she pleaded. Her green puppy eyes were quite hard to resist, but I had to do the right thing. "I'm sorry Star, but I'm not gonna let you risk your life" I replied. "Besides, she won't be alone, I'm going with her" Nex said with complete certainty. "Fine, you can go with Nex. You better protect my bestie" she said chuckling. I was so happy she was able to understand.
"The only portal to enter the tower has been sealed by it's keeper; Master V" Nex explains. "How is Master V like" I asked. "He's very nice from what I've heard" he replied with an assuring look.
"Anyway, we'll have to make a portal of our own" he said, feeling so smart and achieved. "Stop feeling so smart" I said rudely. "You're lucky one of us has true wisdom" he replied laughing. I was so mad at him for saying that! To me he was annoying, but unfortunately he was still useful to me. Though, he's not all bad....
"Uh...hello, stop blushing and concentrate" Nex interrupted. "Whatever" I replied trying to sound sassy.
Anyways, back to the situation. The portal to our destination was sealed. I thought of a solution, and it finally came after some seconds. I remembered Gate, the key of transportation; which used to open a portal. When the portal was ready, Nex held my hand then we walked in together. I turned around to see Star behind us, waving goodbye and wishing me luck. Her mixed emotions were clear, she was supportive yet worried. I took a deep sigh hoping everything would go fine, as the light became so bright that I could no longer clearly picture the living room. Nex and I were at the tower of memories, a giant glass archive surrounded by clouds, suspended in the sky.
