The entity stood like a fractured deity, his towering form riddled with cracks of abyssal black. Long, golden hair flowed wildly, partially veiling his piercing, molten-gold eyes. One arm, still divine and flawless, gripped a colossal warhammer—its ancient metal chipped yet unbreakable. The other, however, was ravaged, his once-perfect flesh consumed by creeping corruption, his body shifting between divine radiance and something far darker.
At the center of his chest, an intricate golden sigil pulsed, its glow barely restraining the cracks spreading across his form. His very presence distorted the air, as if reality itself struggled to contain him.
Then—
"Kneel."
The word rippled through Alex's mind, sinking deep, but he barely registered it.
Kneel?
Who is he? What is happening?
Did I have a plan for this?
No.
I'm gambling my fate over an artifact… no, over revenge. How laughable.
But who cares? At least I'm still moving forward towards my goal.
A breathless chuckle echoed through the battlefield. Raven, still torn in half, let out a ragged breath, her voice twisted, cracked—yet filled with euphoria.
"Finally… finally… you're free…"
His blood-soaked lips curled into a trembling smile.
"My beloved… my Dragon God… Ryujin."
The entity—Ryujin—turned its gaze to Raven.
A storm given form. A presence suffocating enough to bend the whole world.
For a moment, he stood still.
Then, with a voice that shook the skies—
"Raven…?"
He spoke the name like a forgotten whisper.
"Who did this to you?"
Raven rasped out a wild, broken laugh.
"Do not concern yourself! It matters not! You are unshackled, and that alone is of worth! Now—" His voice turned venomous. "Slay that wretch. Then, together, we shall unmake this world. Uxil, the wretched who bound you—we shall rend her apart, piece by piece."
Ryujin's gaze snapped to Alex.
A flicker of movement—then iron fingers clamped around Alex's skull.
He was lifted like an insect.
"You did this to Raven?"Ryujin's voice was calm. Too calm.
"I shall grant you mercy… if you repent."
Alex laughed.
Even as his skull ached from the pressure, he laughed.
"Repent?"
His voice dripped with mockery.
"Are you his lover?"
Ryujin nodded. "I am."
Raven convulsed violently at that. His half-missing body twisted in rage.
"I am his! I am his! YOU, AGNIVERTA—KILL HIM, RYUJIN! KILL HIM!"
Alex grinned wickedly.
"Oh, so it's one-sided? Or are you just a horny bitch who wants to ride a dragon god's dick?"
Silence.
Ryujin didn't react. He simply stood there. Present. Silent.
His voice remained calm.
"I can still forgive you."
Alex lifted his middle finger.
"Fuck you."
Ryujin moved his hand.
The world where they stood shattered.
Alex's body was slammed into the ground like a ragdoll. His bones cracked—pain seared through his entire being.
Again.
Again.
Again.
Each impact left craters deep enough to bury mountains. Blood splattered across the battlefield. The forest was gone.
No—
The land itself was gone.
The ground was ruined beyond recognition. Cracks split open, revealing rivers of molten rock, the exposed crust of the world bleeding lava. The last remnants of Raven's body mingled into dust.
And yet—Ryujin's voice remained calm.
"I can still forgive you."
Alex could no longer hear.
The world was a haze of pain.
What is happening?
I'm drowning.
Drowning.
The abyss was swallowing him whole.
Then—
A surge from his dantian.
Something stirred.
Something that had always been there.
Something watching.
Something waiting.
Ryujin finally released Alex and turned back toward to find Raven in that jumble.
But— with a crack
Alex moved.
No.
His body moved.
His shattered, twisted limbs snapped back into place.
Crack crack crack crack crack…..
Not healed—reassembled.
Like a broken doll forced back together. Like something that was no longer human.
He stood.
A gust of wind swept past.
Blood dripped from his lips. Bones jutted from torn flesh. His form was mangled beyond recognition.
And yet—
He stood.
Then—
A blur of motion.
A shadow against the light.
Before Ryujin could react—
A hand gripped his throat.
For the first time—
Ryujin looked confused.
The Dragon God struggled.
A ripple of divine energy surged from his core—violet flames burst forth, their holy light scorching the sky.
Then—
Thunder crashed.
The sky split open as golden lightning cascaded down, illuminating the battlefield in a blinding radiance.
But—
Nothing happened.
Nothing changed.
The flames flickered. The lightning cracked.
And yet—
Ryujin could not break free.
His molten-gold eyes widened.
Impossible.
He was a god.
He was absolute.
And yet—
The wretched mortal before him did not kneel.
Did not burn.
Did not fall.
Alex's fingers tightened.
The air trembled. The heavens held their breath.
And then—
With an effortless motion—
Alex lifted him.
And cast him down.
The entire kingdom trembled more.
The sky cried.
A shockwave erupted, fracturing the battlefield.
Entire mountain ranges crumbled.
The seas raged, their tides surging as though recoiling in fear.
And in the centre of it all—
The crater.
Deep. Endless.
From its depths—
Ryujin rose.
And then—with rush
The wings.
