My time in D City was delightful and relaxing. The environment was pristine, and the weather was ideal.

I quickly settled into the local lifestyle and even broadened my volunteer activities. In the evenings, I organized recreational activities for the hostel guests. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with increasing participation. Online reviews improved, with numerous top ratings. The hostel was on track to become D City's finest.

Before I realized it, my two-week vacation had concluded. Nicola prepared a special farewell dinner for me.

"This looks incredible," I remarked. Our collaboration over the past days had fostered a strong connection, perhaps even surpassing my rapport with Lucas.

"Since your holiday is ending, I'm sending you off," Nicola explained, gesturing with a wine bottle.

I nodded, and he poured me a glass.

"You might be surprised," I said, after setting the final dish on the table.
