In time, I regained enough strength to venture outdoors.
On that particular day, I ambled across the grass near my residence, taking tentative steps in the daylight. I sensed my parents observing me from afar. They constantly kept watch over me now. They wished to be close, but feared approaching too near, worried I might rebuff them once more.
I had repeatedly asked them to give me space, but they refused to comply.
So I disregarded their presence. They were no longer my concern.
However, today brought an unexpected visitor.
