Chapter 8

I decided I no longer wanted my father, mother, or sibling in my life.

This occasion, I was determined to exist solely for myself.

Following the operation, my physical condition had deteriorated more than ever before.

Despite my efforts in rehabilitation, the absence of a vital organ had left me permanently diminished.

Yet, I yearned to experience life fully, so I persevered through recovery, regardless of how gradual the improvement was.

In time, I regained enough strength to venture outdoors.

On that particular day, I ambled across the grass near my residence, taking tentative steps in the daylight. I sensed my parents observing me from afar. They constantly kept watch over me now. They wished to be close, but feared approaching too near, worried I might rebuff them once more.

I had repeatedly asked them to give me space, but they refused to comply.

So I disregarded their presence. They were no longer my concern.

However, today brought an unexpected visitor.
