Chapter 13

Six months later, on a random day.

I was driving Daniel to the chess club when we got stuck in traffic outside the hospital. That's when I spotted Victor and Melody.

The two of them were sitting by a flower bed on the side of the road, holding report folders, both with a vacant look in their eyes.

Suddenly, Melody stood up and screamed:

"The results are still the same! It's not a mistake! Why is my life so miserable?"

After her outburst, she ran off, looking completely devastated.

Victor didn't even lift his head, remaining motionless, staring fixedly at his feet.

A moment later, Draven appeared out of nowhere.

He strode over, grabbed Victor by the collar, and swung a fierce punch.

Victor fell to the ground, offering no resistance.

Draven spoke in a rage:

"Didn't you say twenty grand a month? You're two months behind. Do you want those photos and videos to get out?"
