"You're insane!"

He exclaimed, both shocked and furious, watching the blood dripping incessantly. He quickly grabbed the car keys and rushed out without looking back.

I slowly sat down, picked up the teapot, and poured myself a cup of tea.

In just three short days, my life had been turned completely upside down.

After leaving the bank, I realized that Victor had finally used the tactics he'd perfected over the years on me.

I guess I'm a bit more unlucky than other women.

Not only did I face emotional betrayal, but my husband is also a professional divorce lawyer.

Over the years, he had mastered the art of being cold-hearted and acting purely out of self-interest. If I were to wallow in useless pain and sorrow, I'd be left with nowhere to turn.

I had to handle this situation using his own methods.

So before coming home, I had already gone to my mother-in-law's house to pick up Daniel and placed him with a familiar Go instructor.

I silently drank cup after cup of tea.
