The neon signs, the scattered groups of people laughing, the way the cold night air smelled faintly of alcohol and cigarette smoke—it felt all so real.
Clink!
Clink!
The sound of Kelly's heels tapping against the pavement brought me back to the moment.
I adjusted my grip on her as we walked, though neither of us had any real direction in mind. We had gotten outside, but now that we were here… I wasn't sure what to do next.
That's when I heard a soft voice beside me.
"Hello, mister…" I turned my head slightly, but Kelly didn't seem to be talking to anyone in particular. Her voice was slow, a little hazy, like she wasn't even sure why she said it.
For a few moments, we just walked in silence.
I wasn't exactly experienced with relationships—or with picking up someone at a club. I had no idea what the next move was supposed to be.
'Should I say something flirty? Keep walking? Offer to take her home?' I hesitated, overthinking everything.
Then, Kelly spoke again.
"…Are you always this quiet?" Her voice broke the silence between us, her words holding a hint of curiosity.
I blinked.
"Oh… what?" She let out a small huff, almost amused by my reaction.
"You haven't said a word for a while now…" I scratched the back of my head, feeling a little self-conscious.
"Hmm." I didn't know what to say, so I just hummed in response. Kelly, still leaning against me, looked up with a slight tilt of her head, her eyes studying me.
It was a simple question, but for some reason, it felt like a tiny jab, like she was calling me out for being awkward.
If it had been anyone else, I might have just brushed it off. But since it was Kelly—someone I actually knew—I hesitated.
Then, suddenly, the thought hit me.
'Oh, right. This is a game.' For a moment, I had completely forgotten. Everything had felt so vivid, so real, that I had instinctively reacted as if I was in reality. But in the end, no matter how real it seemed… this was just a game.
That realization made it easier to respond.
"Because I prefer listening." Kelly raised an eyebrow at me.
"…Ah." Her expression softened slightly, but there was still a hint of amusement in her eyes.
I let out a small chuckle and added, "If you want to say something, go ahead. I'll listen." It wasn't something I'd normally say in real life. If anything, it sounded a little too smooth, almost rehearsed. But since I had already reminded myself this was all just a game, it didn't feel weird to say it.
Kelly scoffed, rolling her eyes.
"I have so much to say… So much. Can you really listen to everything?" She stretched her arms above her head lazily, her body still leaning slightly against mine as we walked.
"Of course," I replied without thinking. "I have plenty of time." Kelly glanced at me, her lips curling into a smile.
The mood between us had shifted. She seemed more at ease, her laughter coming a little easier now. Then, she suddenly stopped walking. She turned to face me fully, her expression unreadable.
"So, will you listen to everything I say tonight?" Her voice was softer this time, almost hesitant, but there was something sincere in the way she looked at me.
I blinked, caught off guard. "Huh…?" Kelly leaned against my shoulder again, watching me closely.
I could see the reflection of the city lights in her eyes, the way her lips parted slightly as she waited for my answer. For some reason, the moment felt heavier than before. But I still nodded.
"Of course." I wasn't sure what my face looked like at that moment. Was I smiling naturally? Did I look as relaxed as I was trying to be? I had no idea.
But as soon as I said it, Kelly smiled again.
A slow, genuine smile.
We stopped walking.
For a moment, neither of us moved, just standing there, watching each other. I wasn't sure who leaned in first, but our eyes locked, and the world around us seemed to blur.
Then, my gaze shifted slightly—to the right.
And there, just a few steps away, was a motel.
The neon sign flickered in the dim light, a beacon against the city's vibrant backdrop. Kelly followed my gaze, her eyes fixed on the sign but her silence speaking volumes.
"Ha-uhp-" I felt her breath against my neck, hot and urgent.
Slurp- Slurp-
'Wow.' I was amazed at how quickly things escalated, my heart racing with the thrill.*
As soon as I opened the motel room door, Kelly had lunged at me, hugging and kissing me with a hunger that suggested she'd been waiting for this moment forever.
'A kiss? I'd never done that before.' The thought made my stomach flutter with nerves.
But now, guided by instinct and memories from countless movies and videos, I waited until Kelly's lips touched mine like a gentle wave, then I parted my lips.
'Isn't a kiss originally about tongues meeting?' I wondered, feeling a mix of excitement and curiosity.
Slurp- Slurp-
'You're terrible, you're crazy.' I thought to myself, overwhelmed by how intense this was. We moved instinctively towards the bed, my eyes closing to savor the sensation.
Slurp- Slurp-
"Pah... what's the rush? Whew." Her voice was breathless, and I felt a slight embarrassment mixed with anticipation.
Kelly pulled back first, her lips curling into a small, polite smile. I couldn't meet her eyes, feeling a mix of embarrassment and excitement.
Slurp- Slurp-
"Ha-uhp-" I felt the urge to pull her back, not wanting this moment to end.
I leaned in again, eager for more. As I pushed my tongue forward, Kelly didn't resist; instead, she opened her mouth, welcoming me back. Our kisses grew louder, filling the room.
Slurp- Slurp-
We stumbled onto the bed, the sound of our kisses echoing around us. My hands roamed over Kelly's body, curiosity and desire guiding each touch.
