Top-Level Martial Talent, Cultivation Technique Perfected

Liu Yizan sat cross-legged on his bed, his gaze focused intently on the glowing screen of his status.

It had been over two weeks since the bull rampage incident, and while life in the village had returned to its usual tranquil pace, Liu Yizan's own progress on the martial path was anything but stagnant.

During this time, he had pushed his mastery of the Earth Pulse Cultivation Technique to its pinnacle: Perfected.

It seemed this was the highest possible level for a technique, as the option to further upgrade its mastery had vanished entirely.

He also managed to enhance his Martial Talent to the "Top" category—a level that surpassed his previous expectations.

However, the presence of the upgrade indicator beside it hinted that even this was not the ceiling. His curiosity about what lay beyond Top talent was growing.

A new addition to his status was the percentage indicator, which appeared once the purification process had begun.

This represented the progress of purging his body of impurities, a critical step in martial cultivation.

Currently, his purification progress stood at 12.13%.

Technically, this was more than enough to open his first Chi Gate and ascend to Rank One. The threshold for opening the first gate was a mere 10%.

He had confirmed this when the system notified him of his readiness to proceed upon reaching that milestone.

But Liu Yizan knew better than to rush.

Opening a Chi Gate with the minimum threshold would only lead to future complications.

The foundation of a martial artist determined their ultimate potential.

Rushing now would result in diminished strength gains, blockages in the Chi Meridian pathways, and difficulties in future breakthroughs.

'Why settle for less when I can aim for perfection?' he thought.

His goal was clear: 100% purification. Only with a flawless foundation could he ensure a smooth and powerful cultivation journey ahead.

Liu Yizan's progress wasn't limited to himself.

Recognizing the immense cost of upgrading his own talent to the next level, he had turned his attention to his family.

His mother and sister-in-law were his next focus.

He has started upgrading the martial talent of his mother an sister in law.

Currently they are at Medium level, When he increase their martial talents to High level, he could teach them the Earth Pulse Cultivation Technique and upgrade it for them.

With the family cultivating together, they could all grow stronger at a faster pace.

As if his thoughts had been heard, Liu Yizan heard the sound of footsteps ascending the wooden stairs leading to his room.

He was in his original room on the upper floor, and with his heightened senses—sharpened by the removal of over 10% of the impurities from his body—he could clearly discern the rhythm of someone climbing up.

And soon, his sister-in-law, Liu Xianwei, appeared in the doorway. Seeing her, Liu Yizan smiled and asked, "What brings you here, Sister-in-law?"

Liu Xianwei stepped inside with a soft smile, moving to sit beside him on the bed.

She gently held his arm and replied, "Nothing much. Mother went out for her usual gossip with her friends, and since I didn't have anything planned for today, I thought I'd spend some time with you."

Liu Yizan nodded, appreciating the sentiment. "Alright. So, do you have something in mind, or should we play one of those board games like we always do?"

A chuckle escaped Liu Xianwei's lips. "You and your board games. But sure, I don't mind. It's been a while since we've played."

Liu Yizan grinned.

Being a transmigrator, he brought with him knowledge of several board games from Earth.

In this world, where modern distractions like cell phones, television, or other technologies didn't exist, people often found themselves with an abundance of free time.

When Liu Yizan first arrived in this world, he'd been struck by how leisurely life in the village could be.

Out of boredom and a desire to bond with his family, he'd introduced board games to his mother and sister-in-law.

Over the years, it had become a cherished pastime in their household.

"Alright, then," he said, standing up. "Let me grab the board and pieces."

Liu Xianwei nodded, leaning back slightly. "Sure. Just don't expect me to go easy on you this time."

Liu Yizan laughed as he reached for the game. "Oh, Sister-in-law, you say that every time, and yet I still win."

"Not this time," she teased, her competitive spirit lighting up her features.

Liu Yizan reached under his bed, pulling out a well-worn wooden box.

He opened it to reveal a colorful board etched with a design familiar to him but entirely foreign to this world.

The board was divided into quadrants, each with a distinct color, and small wooden pieces accompanied it.

It was none other than Ludo—a simple yet competitive board game from Earth that he had introduced to his family.

"Sister-in-law, today's game is Ludo," he announced with a grin, setting the board on the bed between them.

Liu Xianwei raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk on her lips. "Ludo again? You only suggest this one when you're feeling confident."

"Confident? Me? Never!" Liu Yizan teased, placing the pieces on the board. "It's just that I want to give you a chance to win for once."

"How generous of you," she said, rolling her eyes but leaning forward eagerly.

Liu Yizan explained the rules once more, though by now, Liu Xianwei knew them well.

She had picked up the game quickly after he first introduced it, and the two of them had spent countless hours battling it out on the board.

"Let's see who gets to move first," Liu Yizan said, handing her the dice.

Liu Xianwei shook them in her hand before tossing them onto the board. A six. She clapped her hands in delight. "Looks like luck is on my side today!"

"Don't get too excited," Liu Yizan said, picking up the dice. "The game's just begun."

As they played, the room filled with laughter and playful banter. Liu Xianwei, usually calm and composed, became surprisingly competitive, trying to block Liu Yizan's pieces at every turn.

"You're ruthless, Sister-in-law," Liu Yizan said after she sent one of his pieces back to the start.

"Don't blame me," she replied, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "You taught me too well."

The game stretched on, both of them equally matched.

As the game neared its end, Liu Xianwei let out a triumphant laugh. "I win!"

Liu Yizan shook his head, feigning defeat. "Fine, fine. You've bested me this time."

"You mean this time and every other time," she quipped, standing up with a grin. "Now, you're in charge of cleaning up."

Liu Yizan chuckled as he began gathering the pieces. "Fine, but don't get too used to it. Next time, victory will be mine."

Liu Xianwei smiled warmly, placing a hand on his shoulder. "We'll see, Little Yizan. We'll see."
