99 The mists of Ériu

The army that had survived the ordeal with yggdrssil searched for Saoirse for a whole day, but were unable to find her. It would be impossible for her to survive if she had been eaten by the tree, and her body would be made of wood and ash by now. They were also unable to wake the king. Now they journeyed alongside the river once more, led by Aksel and Nattlys. It was a difficult decision, but the only thing they could do at this point.

Altogether, only 25 soldiers survived, along with Astrid, Forseti, Afton, and Nicholas. It was a grim experience, surely more traumatic than the last time they encountered that tree.

"I told everyone not to touch the tree." Astrid whispered occasionally. But as far as they could tell, nobody had. At this point, their steps were heavy. It was at least another month until they would reach Loki's house at this rate. They hoped for no more obstacles in their way.
