Enchanting Cult Leader 15

"Recently, there seems to be an unusually large number of martial artists at Cuiyan Tower," Elora languidly reclined on the couch, her fingers idly twirling a strand of hair as her eyes lazily scanned the man in the room. Every gesture, every glance of hers was irresistibly enchanting.

"They have all come for the Nebula Eclipse," the man replied, his gaze filled with a deep, almost obsessive admiration for her.

"Oh? The Nebula Eclipse? Isn't that the unparalleled martial art of Nebula Sect? So, are you here for Nebula Eclipse as well?" Elora asked with playful curiosity, her eyes twinkling as she studied him.

"Indeed, with the Nebula Eclipse in hand, one could dominate the martial world, standing unrivaled," the man said, his voice brimming with ambition.

"Hahaha..." Elora covered her mouth, laughing uncontrollably.

"What's so funny?" The man was puzzled by her reaction.

"I laugh... because you're all fools!" Elora's expression was one of disdain, as if she were looking at a child, and she slowly rose, making her way to the table where she sat down with deliberate elegance. "Do you even know where Nebula Sect is? Have you ever seen the Sect Leader of Nebula Sect? And you, Gabriel, the leader of the Bamboo Grove Sect, think you can just take the Nebula Eclipse?"

"Ah, you don't know? Evan Skylar has already placed spies within Nebula Sect. He plans to attack soon. Once the battle starts, we'll blend into the ranks. After the fight, with casualties and death on both sides, Nebula Eclipse will eventually fall into my hands."

"Is that so?" Elora raised an eyebrow. "Well then, in that case, let me offer you a toast, hoping your wishes come true!" She filled her cup once more and handed it to him.

Gabriel, his eyes gleaming with desire, took the cup from her hands and drank it down in one gulp.

"3... 2... 1!" Elora silently counted in her mind, and then Gabriel collapsed, his body falling to the floor.

Elora knelt beside him, reaching into her sleeve to retrieve a sealed container. She opened it, allowing a wriggling insect to crawl out, its movements slow and deliberate, before it made its way into Gabriel's ear.

This was a poison insect she had obtained from Yin Zhu, capable of controlling one's mind.

Once she had completed the task, Elora lightly slapped Gabriel's cheek. "Heh—what a fool. The Sect Leader of Nebula Sect stands right before you, and yet you don't recognize me. And you still dream of stealing Nebula Eclipse? What can I even say about you? No wonder Evan Skylar was able to manipulate you so easily."

Gabriel had been deeply involved in Evan Skylar's scheme to frame Nebula Sect and tarnish its reputation. More importantly, he was a man with a weakness for beautiful women, unable to resist their charms—an ideal target for Elora's manipulation.

...

"When did I return last night?" Gabriel awoke with dark circles under his eyes, his face drawn with exhaustion. He had been at Cuiyan Tower last night, but now, somehow, he found himself back at the Bamboo Grove Sect.

"Last night, Sect Leader, you were drunk at Cuiyan Tower, so I brought you back," one of his subordinates explained. "I'm not sure what got into you, but you, who normally have a good tolerance for alcohol, got so drunk that you started causing a scene, shouting about wanting to force yourself on Yue Lan. Everyone knows that Yue Lan sells her talent, not her body, but the most embarrassing part was that you mistook Cui Juan for her. She was so furious she threw you out of the tower. It was a sight to behold!"

"How can I not remember?" Gabriel muttered under his breath, rubbing his temples. He couldn't recall the events of the previous night, and the mere thought of it made his head throb. "Forget it, it's probably just a hangover. I'll be fine after resting," he waved his hand dismissively, signaling for his subordinate to leave.

...

Elora sat alone in her room, leisurely sipping wine as she looked down at the bustle below.

It seemed the time was right; everything that needed to be done had been taken care of, and soon, it would be time for her to slip away from Cuiyan Tower.

Evan Skylar was preparing to attack Nebula Sect, and she still wanted to watch the drama unfold from the sidelines.

She drained her glass and allowed a faint smile to curve her lips.

...

That night, a fire broke out in one of the rooms at Cuiyan Tower. The blaze engulfed the room next door to Yue Lan's, the room belonging to Zi Zhu.

Upon investigation, it was found that Zi Zhu had accidentally knocked over a candlestick, igniting the curtains. In a panic, she rushed out, but no one could have predicted that the flames would spread to Yue Lan's room.

The fire raged uncontrollably, and no one dared to enter. By the time the fire was extinguished, only a charred body remained inside.

What a tragic end for Yue Lan, the enchanting beauty, whose life was claimed by the flames.
