ELDER STERLING'S SILENCE

"What happen Roan? Your mother says that you can never do something like that. To them, you are very 'loyal' to your fiancé. If that is true, why does it look as if you lost all the colours from your face?"

Roan stared at Dove with wide eyes, before gulping. 'She… She can't really know about it, can she?' He thought, before shaking off his thoughts. 'No. How will she know! He had been careful with it.' He thought. He tried calming his mind, and believed that she was just talking rubbish. After all, if she had known about him doing all those things. Than knowing Dove's character, she wouldn't have waited till now, to bring it up. She only wants to divert all their attention from what she has done, by coming up and blaming him with some thing she made up. Yes, that is what she is planning. Roan consoled himself.

After all, what other thing is there for him to do? He can't possibly accept that 'Yes, he had some history here and there.'

Roan opened his mouth and closed it once, before clearing his throat and he said, "Dove! W- What do you mean?" Though his voice sounded aggrieved to others, like he was angry on Dove assuming and speaking nonsense about him. But well, Dove could hear that stammering in his tone, and she chuckled.

"Why do I hear nervousness in your voice, Roan?" Dove raised an eyebrow as she looked at him and asked.

"Dove! Stop with all these nonsense games of yours! You have been caught red handed, that doesn't mean you will drag him down with your nonsense words. Don't think that involving Roan who give you a way to get rid of what you have done!" Cara Davis said loudly, her face red.

She was about to speak more, when Dove raised her hand at her while sitting. She did not even turn her head towards her, but kept her eyes on Roan, and said in a straight voice, void of any usual sweetness or meekness, "Mrs Davis, I am not talking to you. I am taking t o Roan, and I don't think he is still a kid for his mother to be answering, is he?"

Hearing Dove speak to her in that tone, Mrs Davis for a moment was stunned before she gritted her teeth and said, "You little…" She was about to curse Dove in anger, but just then Cara felt her husband out her hand on her shoulder and she turned to look at her husband with a big frown on her face. 'Why is he stopping her from saying anything?' She thought not liking it. But Mr Davis's eyes were fixated on Elder Sterling, who was looking at all this and observing the situation with a stern look on his face. But for once dud he not point out Dove's behaviour not call out her or scold her for creating a scene like this.

In fact, him keeping quite about it gave her the freedom to do what she wanted. And this made Mr Davis keep quiet. He did not want to do anything that would directly offend Chairman Sterling. Though he wasn't happy with what Dove has done, and how she was behaving right now with his wife and son, Mr Davis knew better than to act out of line for now. And then clearing his throat he said, "Cara, wait a minute. Ley Dove prove what she wants to say."

And hearing Mr Davis say that, the smirk on Dove's face widened and she nodded, "Of course, Mr Davis. And just to clearify, I am not trying to get rid of the fact that I have slept with someone last night."
