Chapter Six: A Night to Remember

As Ava walked out of the apartment, she couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. She had never been one to engage in one-night stands, and she didn't know what had come over her the night before. She quickened her pace, eager to get back to her apartment and try to forget the previous night's events.

As she walked, Ava's mind began to wander back to her conversation with her father. She was determined to take back what was rightfully hers, and she was willing to do whatever it took to make that happen.

After a few minutes of walking, Ava arrived at her apartment building. She took the elevator up to her floor and stepped out into the familiar hallway. She walked to her apartment door, unlocked it, and stepped inside.

As she entered her apartment, Ava was greeted by the familiar sight of her living room. She took a deep breath, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She was safe now, and she could finally start to think about her next move.

Ava walked over to her couch and sat down, running her hands through her hair. She was exhausted, both physically and emotionally. She had been through so much in the past 24 hours, and she wasn't sure how much more she could take.

As she sat there, Ava's mind began to wander back to the stranger from the night before. She didn't know his name, but she couldn't shake off the feeling that she had just made a huge mistake.

As Mu Yusi's eyes adjusted to the morning light, he realized that the girl was no longer beside him. He sat up in bed, looking around the room, but there was no sign of her. He threw off the covers and got out of bed, walking over to the bathroom to see if she was there. But the bathroom was empty, and the apartment was quiet.

Mu Yusi's brow furrowed in confusion. He didn't remember her leaving, and he certainly didn't remember her saying goodbye. He walked over to the living room, looking for any sign of her, but there was nothing. No note, no message, no indication of where she had gone or why she had left.

Mu Yusi picked up his phone on the nightstand and made a call to his assistant

"Good morning, sir," Marcus, his assistant said. "I trust you're doing well?"

Mu Yusi's eyes narrowed as he thought about the girl. "I need you to find the girl that I went in with last night. She was here last night, but she left without saying goodbye. I don't know her name, but I need you to find her."

Okay sir replied Marcus.

Marcus's eyes scanned the crowded streets as he worked his phone, typing away with lightning speed. He was a master of gathering information, and Mu Yusi's request was child's play compared to some of the tasks he'd handled in the past.

After a few minutes of typing, Marcus's phone beeped, signaling an incoming message. He glanced at the screen, his eyes widening slightly as he took in the information.

"Sir, I've found her," Marcus said, his voice low and even. "Her name is Ava, and she's a 25-year-old heiress to a large fortune. Her father is a wealthy businessman, and she's been at odds with him over her inheritance."

Mu Yusi's eyes narrowed as he listened to Marcus's report. An heiress, huh? That explained the fire in her eyes, the spark that had drawn him to her in the first place.

"What else do you know about her?" Mu Yusi asked, his voice firm.

Marcus hesitated for a moment before speaking. "It seems that Ava's father is trying to force her into a marriage with a man named Harrison Lee. She's resisting, but her father is threatening to cut her off from her inheritance if she doesn't comply."

Mu Yusi's jaw clenched in anger. He didn't like the sound of that one bit. He was starting to piece together why Ava had been so desperate, so willing to take a chance on a stranger like him.

"Send me everything you've got on Ava and her family," Mu Yusi said, his voice cold. "I want to know everything."

Marcus nodded, his fingers flying across his phone as he sent the information to Mu Yusi. As he waited for Mu Yusi's next move, Marcus couldn't help but wonder what his boss had planned for Ava. Was he going to help her, or was he going to use her for his own gain? Only time would tell.
