Evans remained there for a brief time, studying his brother before finally moving to follow him. He slid into the driver's seat while Alfonso settled into the passenger side, crossing his arms as he stared out the window. Evans started the engine and pulled out of the parking lot.

As the car sped down the empty road, Alfonso broke the silence, his voice now softer but still had a hint of irritation in it. "Why didn't you tell Richard anyway? He's supposed to be here with us right now. This involves all of us.

Evans gripped the steering wheel tighter, taking a sharp turn without slowing down. "Richard is weak," he said bluntly. 

Alfonso turned his head to look at him, but Evans kept his eyes on the road.

"I've been watching him for a while now," Evans continued. "He hesitates too much. He's too soft-hearted. His conscience will get the better of him, and he'll ruin everything."
