As they turned the corner at the intersection, Adeline's hand flew to her mouth as she saw the two unconscious men on the floor. She spun around at Enzo, her eyes wide as she asked, "What happened here?"

"I have no idea."

"You're lying, aren't you?" She asked, a skeptical look crossing her face.

Enzo feigned offense, raising his eyebrows, and let out a scoff. "You think I'm lying?"

Adeline threw her hands up, confused and a little bit frustrated. She barely had any idea what was going on anymore.

"I don't know! You did shove me into a room out of nowhere and claimed you saw some men approaching. Could these be the men you were talking about?" She gestured toward the unconscious bodies on the floor.

"First of all, you were only in that room for ten seconds or even less. You really think that's enough time for me to... what, knock these guys out?" Enzo asked, gesturing dramatically at the bodies.
