Stepping into the hallway, Adeline let go of Enzo's wrist and turned to face him. "So… what now?" she asked.

Enzo laughed, pinching the bridge of his nose with mock exasperation. "The way you just dragged me out of there, I thought you had a plan or something."

Adeline suddenly raised her foot and kicked his leg lightly. "Of course not, you idiot."

Enzo didn't flinch at the impact, smirking as he said, "Ouch." Then, shrugging, he added, "Anyway, we'll figure something out."

She held up the packet to her face, turning it over. "What if this is just some harmless stuff Grandma likes to use in her tea?" she muttered, almost to herself.

Enzo stepped closer, gently placing his hand atop her head and applying slight pressure, tilting her face upwards so their eyes were locked in an unbroken stare. "There were at least fifty of these packets hidden in that cabinet, Adeline. Doesn't that seem even a little suspicious to you?"
