053 THE DEVIL'S RETRIBUTION
"Master, take my body now and complete your transformation and resurrection," Rosa whispered, laying herself down on her tattered throne, ready to become the final sacrifice for Lusifar.
Lusifar, using Leo's body, moved toward her growling in anticipation. The demon has waited a very long time for this- his resurrection using Leo's body as a vessel.
Leo struggled, his mind barely his own, watching in horror as Lusifar moved closer to Rosa, who looked at him with adoration. The demon ripped away his clothes to embrace the now naked woman.
"Rosa," Lusifar growled.
"Isn't Lusifar supposed to be on my side?" Leo asked in desperation, regaining momentarily his consciousness.
Suddenly, Vanessa appeared beside him in his mind.
"No, Lusifar is not with you," she explained. "He's a parasite demon bound to you because you are the vessel he found."
"Vessel? I'm a fucking vessel now?" he asked.
"Yes, a vessel for sacrifice."
Leo clenched his fists, frustration boiling within him. "This demon is going to kill me! Do fucking something!"
But Vanessa simply watched with a calm expression. "You're the player, Leo. This is your game. You need to figure it out yourself."
"Are you serious? Is this my fucking starter quest?" he groaned. "Anybody have any idea what to do now?"
Dassa, overcome with despair, sank to the floor. "It's hopeless, we've lost," she murmured, resigned.
But Yun-Yun's gaze remained steady.
"Yun-Yun, please… there has to be a way to stop this!" Leo pleaded.
"There might be," she said thoughtfully. "Lusifar hasn't fully resurrected yet. If you strike now, it might weaken him enough to banish him—but you could end up seriously hurt."
Dassa heard her and made up her mind.
Without warning, Dassa charged at Leo, her dagger flashing as she plunged the weapon into his body. Leo's eyes widened in shock at the assault.
"I'm sorry, Leo," Dassa whispered fiercely. "If you die, maybe we all get to live."
Leo felt a strange ache—not from her blade, but from the realization of her desperation.
She was right. He must be the sacrifice if anyone was going to survive this. "One dies so others may live," she muttered, echoing his own words before when he dealt with the unicorns.
When Leo killed a unicorn randomly to scare the others into obedience, he wasn't bothered about their well-being at all. This lack of empathy for other players was coming back to haunt him.
"Those who live by the Sword cannot complain to die by it."
He swallowed hard, with understanding now.
Dassa looked down, shocked by what was happening. Lusifar's dark energy healed his wounds instantly.
"You're like a cockroach to me," Lusifar sneered, barely bothered by her attacks.
Dassa's energy waned as she fell back, gasping.
"Why won't you die?" she spat.
"Yun-Yun," Leo called out. "Is there any way to end this fucking shit?"
She shook her head. "Even if I had my powers, they wouldn't be enough to kill Lusifar in one stroke. Only one magic in existence could do that."
"What magic?" he asked, clinging to hope.
"Destiny's Retribution," she replied softly.
Leo's eyes lit up with a desperate realization. "If I invoke Destiny's Retribution on myself, maybe I can destroy Lusifar before he fully resurrects!"
Lusifar laughed, his voice rippling through Leo's mind. "You're too late. I'll finish my resurrection before you can even summon it."
Leo gritted his teeth. He was running out of time, but he was determined to save his friends—even if it meant risking everything.
"There's still a way—I just need more sacrifices," Leo shouted, his voice desperate.
"Sacrifices?" Dassa asked, exasperated. "We're out of options. Even the mercenary mages were used up. There's nothing left."
Leo's mind raced as he thought over his carefully laid plan.
He had brought the mercenary mages from the Black Market, hoping they would either restrain Madame la Rosa or, failing that, serve as a sacrifice if she defeated them, giving him the strength to face her.
But everything had gone wrong.
The real enemy had turned out to be Lusifar and not Madame la Rosa—the demon lurking within him, feeding on him like a parasite.
"I just need… a little more," he whispered, barely hanging on.
Yun-Yun stepped forward, determination in her eyes.
Without a word, she slit her wrist, letting her blood flow onto Leo's body. The demon magic within him, his Black Cock, accepted the sacrifice eagerly.
"No! Stop! I'm nearly free!" Lusifar roared, his voice echoing through Leo's mind as he drove his body deeper into Madame la Rosa, each thrust bringing him closer to full ecstasy and claiming her sacrifice.
Rosa moaned, lost in the pleasure Lusifar's lustful and dark consummation brought, her cries rising to a fevered pitch.
Leo's Lust Counter climbed higher, but it wasn't enough. He needed just a bit more blood, a tiny bit of blood sacrifice that would cause his magic to breakthrough into Svad.
Realizing what was happening, Dassa gritted her teeth and stepped forward. She sliced her palm too and held it over Leo, her blood mingling with Yun-Yun's in a final, desperate bid to stop the demon.
"Arrghhh!" Madame la Rosa's scream cut through the air as Lusifar's claws tore into her.
Her body arched, caught in the ecstasy of her final moments, until, with one last shudder, Madame la Rosa was gone—her life claimed in an instant by the demon.
Lusifar's shadow expanded, dark and foreboding, twisting and warping as it began to take form, its substance shifting from shadow to flesh and bone. His presence grew, darker and more tangible, signaling his imminent resurrection.
Dark clouds churned in the sky above, plunging the realm into shadow as a massive storm gathered overhead. The once bright day dimmed under the ominous weight of the energy accumulating in the heavens.
"No! This can't be happening! I'm so close!" Lusifar shrieked, his voice raw with desperation.
Leo's body surged with energy as his Cakra Mula Core advanced to Cakra Svad. Leo was almost breaking into Svad but he needed a little more to breakthrough. Yun-Yun and Dassa's blood did propel him forward, but they were not enough.
"Who would have thought, your sacrifice becomes my sacrifice too", Leo screamed at Lusifar.
