069 THE MISSION TO SODOM CITY

069 THE MISSION TO SODOM CITY

Without warning, a shimmering light appeared near Letcha's shell, and Yun-Yun and Kasshyek emerged from his magical space.

"Where are we?" Yun-Yun asked, her gaze sweeping over the scene of devastation. The sight of the ruined settlement and the wounded warriors made her expression tighten.

"It's a long story," Leo said, exhaling deeply.

"We were only inside for a day," Kasshyek muttered, disbelief coloring his voice. "How could so much have happened already?"

Leo quickly explained the situation, his tone sharp with urgency. He outlined the dire state of the settlement, the abduction of Princess Bara, and the need to pursue the mages before it was too late.

Yun-Yun turned her focus back to Leo, "So, where are we headed now?"

Leo hesitated before responding. "If you're willing to take a detour with me... can we rescue the princess?"

Kasshyek groaned in frustration. "We're already late heading to the frontlines. Do you think we have time for this?"

The shaman stepped forward, her voice trembling with desperation. "Please, help us save the princess. She's the heart of our people."

-----

Leo hesitated, torn between choices. He didn't know these people well, and his primary mission was to reach the frontlines and join his father in battle. Taking a detour now could jeopardize everything.

Then, a series of glowing messages appeared before him.

New Mission: Rescue Princess Bara from the Sect Mages.

New Mission: Obtain the Relic Stones

New Mission: Eliminate the sect mages from Sword Mountain Sect.

Mission Accomplished: Obtain the Relic Stones.

"Congratulations, you've completed another mission," Vanessa said, appearing out of nowhere with her usual enigmatic smile.

Leo raised an eyebrow. "So, I was right. The System wants me to go save the sex craved princess?"

Vanessa tilted her head. "It's your choice, Black Cock. You're free to do as you wish. But our missions aren't obstacles, as some might think—they're guides. Suggestions to help you on your journey, should you choose to follow them."

Leo crossed his arms, considering her words. "Alright, what's my reward this time?"

"Well, you obtained the relic stones from the Sword Mountain Sect—a key part of your main quest," Vanessa said, tapping her chin thoughtfully. "What do you want?"

Leo didn't hesitate. "Give me a bigger storage space."

Vanessa blinked. "You already have a storage space the size of a room."

"I don't mind if it's the size of a warehouse," Leo replied with a smirk.

Vanessa sighed, though there was a hint of amusement in her expression. "Fine. I'll double your magic storage space." With a wave of her hand, she added, "Done," and disappeared as quickly as she had come.

Leo stood still for a moment, letting the weight of the decision settle. The System didn't assign missions lightly. If saving Princess Bara was part of his story, then leaving her behind wasn't an option.

-----

With a sigh, Leo straightened and turned to the group. "I think we should save the princess first."

Yun-Yun's expression grew serious, her eyes narrowing. "The mages from the Sword Mountain Sect are no joke. Their power is immense. We can't face them alone."

Leo didn't back down. "The Amara women are skilled at channeling magic. They've already managed to take down some of the mages using the Mirror of Gullee."

Yun-Yun glanced at the scattered bodies of the Sword Mountain Sect mages nearby, her gaze lingering thoughtfully. "I see. These women's cultural bonds make them exceptional at unified magic. But…" She paused, her voice taking on a grim edge. "The Mirror of Gullee comes with a high cost."

Leo sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Yeah. Using it drains them too much. Killing them. It's not sustainable."

Yun-Yun's eyes glinted as an idea took shape. "I can teach them another way to channel magic—one that harnesses their bonding without depleting them like the Mirror does."

Leo's eyes lit up with a flicker of hope. "Do you think it'll be enough to take down the rest of the sect mages?"

Yun-Yun nodded. "It will be more efficient than the Mirror. But defeating all the remaining mages won't just take raw power—it'll require a good strategy."

Leo straightened, ready to delegate. "Alright. I'll leave their training to you."

Yun-Yun's sharp gaze locked onto him. "No. You'll be learning this magic too."

Leo frowned. "Why? I can just replicate the codes and copy the techniques. I don't need—"

"Enough," Yun-Yun cut him off, her tone firm. "From now on, you're going to learn magic the proper way. No more shortcuts."

Leo's jaw tightened, but he didn't argue.

Since losing Lusifar—the demon who had once leached off his power—he'd felt the gap in his own abilities. Yun-Yun had been relentless in her efforts to push him toward mastering magic as a true mage, not as a gamer hacking his way through.

Letcha, still bound under the poles of the Amara warriors, squirmed and grumbled. "I can't take so many people into my magic space," he protested.

A burly warrior woman leaned in, holding him firmly in place. "Are you sure?" she asked, her voice a low warning.

Letcha sighed in defeat. "I guess I don't have much of a choice, do I?"

"No, you must help us," the shaman said firmly.

"But there's not enough room in my space for everyone!" Letcha protested again, his voice rising with frustration.

Yun-Yun crossed her arms, her tone calm but decisive. "Not everyone needs to be in the magic space. Only the weak and wounded. The rest can follow on ships to chase the sect mages."

The shaman's face brightened. "Yes, we have several fast ships docked nearby."

Letcha groaned, muttering under his breath as he prepared to comply.

"Good," Leo said, determination shining in his eyes. "Then let's move quickly. We're not letting them get away with Princess Bara."

-----

"Are you sure the mages took Princess Bara to Sodom City?" Leo asked, his eyes narrowing.

The Shaman nodded. "Our clan shares a deep bond, allowing us to track our own by scent. After scouting every possible location, we detected Bara's scent in Sodom City."

"What could they be doing here?" Kasshyek asked, furrowing his brow.
