083 MY WIFE IS MY STEPMOTHER !!!!
Her comrades gathered, counting the survivors. Out of a hundred heroes who'd set out, only five remained for the final battle against the demon Lusifar.
Another flash forward.
The clash with Demon Lusifar raged long and brutal. The heroes, worn down and exhausted, yet Lusifar still stood, unyielding.
"You self-righteous fools can't kill me!" Lusifar roared, unleashing his strongest spell.
As he gathered the dark magic pulsing in the dungeon, he prepared one final attack to bring everything down with him, his life, his realm and all his enemies included.
"Die with me!" Lusifar screamed as the dungeon walls began to crumble.
"We're going to die in here," Grangya said to the others, seeing their fate close in.
Then, one of the heroes stepped forward. "This is the end for us," he said to her. "But I have one last spell. Lorelei, I'll send you away from here, to safety."
"No, I won't leave you, Amara," she insisted.
"There's no time, Lorelei. It's the only way for you to live," he said, his eyes resolute. "I can save only one, and that will be you."
"Amara, don't leave me!" Grangya cried, recognizing her dearest love, King Amara.
"You'll be safe, Grangya, but you won't remember any of this. You'll sleep for many years. When you awake, your memory, magic, and emotions will be sealed. You'll live a simple life, free from all these dangers," King Amara said, his last wish for her.
The memory skipped ahead.
Grangya awoke, disoriented, in a magical cave, her body preserved for several decades. She looked just like the day she was taken away from the demon's dungeon.
She remembered nothing of who she was, wandering aimlessly until she found herself in Sodom. Hungry and penniless, she found a job posting for a clerk at the Assassin Guild.
She took the position.
-----
Not long after the Amara clan's arrival in Sodom, Queen Gina of Amara appeared with the remainder of her people.
As a nomadic tribe, they were unfazed by the location of their temporary home. Upon learning of her daughter's whereabouts, Queen Gina had rallied the entire clan to join her in Sodom, eager for a long-overdue reunion.
As Gina entered her daughter's room, she warmly greeted her. "Bara, I am so happy to see you."
"Mother, you're finally here," Bara replied.
She gestured toward a woman lying asleep in the bed. "I want you to meet my concubine, Grangya."
Queen Gina raised an eyebrow. "Why is your concubine sleeping at this hour? She should be training with the sisters."
"Forgive her, Mother," Bara explained. "She's ill. She's been asleep for days."
Queen Gina moved closer to inspect her daughter's beloved, but suddenly, a voice interrupted.
"Gina, why are you here?" Grangya asked, her voice filled with intensity.
Startled, Queen Gina blinked. "How does she know my name if she's been asleep all this time?" she murmured, sharing a confused glance with Bara.
Grangya's eyes opened slowly. "I could hear you from outside, you little bitch."
Bara gave her concubine a sharp look. "Grangya, this is my mother. Show some fucking respect."
Queen Gina stared at Grangya, astonished. Then she was shocked by her recognition.
"How… how are you even alive? Queen Lorelei," she asked.
"I was in a deep slumber after the battle in Lusifar's dungeon," Grangya replied. "Jargue sent me away just in time, saved me, but my memories were sealed until now."
Bara's curiosity grew. "How do you know my father's name?"
Grangya replied calmly, "How could I not?"
Queen Gina interjected, "Bara, this is Queen Lorelei—your stepmother."
"What?" Bara gasped in confusion. "This is insane! My wife is my stepmother?"
Queen Gina explained, "Years ago, before you were born, your father, King Jargue, went on a mission with his lawful wife—Lorelei. They never returned, and we assumed they were lost."
"Why didn't you tell me?" Bara asked Grangya, bewildered.
Grangya replied quietly, "I just remembered. No wonder I felt so comfortable around you. You're Jargue's daughter."
Then shaman entered, adding, "Princess Bara isn't just King Jargue's daughter. She is his reincarnation. We confirmed it upon her birth."
Bara looked stunned. "What do you mean?"
"When your father died, he was reincarnated as you, Princess. You carry his magic birthmark on your hip," the shaman revealed.
Grangya smirked, glancing at Bara. "Now it all makes sense—Why I felt so drawn to you. You are Jargue, my love. In the previous life and this."
"This is… unbelievable," Bara muttered.
Grangya turned back to Queen Gina. "What happened to the clan after we disappeared?"
Queen Gina sighed. "After that battle, all the warrior men of the clan perished. Only we women remained. So, we chose to rule ourselves and ended the old ways of reckless expeditions fueled by men's bravado."
Grangya nodded. "That's understandable. The men were always itching for war." She paused. "What of the men in the clan now?"
"We have male slaves for labor and for their cocks. Any sons born to us we place in good families in other clans, but we keep the daughters," Queen Gina explained.
"Now that you're back, I must return the title of Queen to you," Gina told Grangya.
But Grangya shook her head. "No, Lorelei is long gone. Besides, I'm here with my beloved now—Princess Bara."
Princess Bara began to notice how the clanswomen, especially the older ones, showed such deference toward Grangya, almost with a touch of fear. "Why are you all looking at Grangya like she's someone scary?" Bara asked.
The shaman stepped forward, her face solemn. "Because she is. Queen Lorelei was the strongest warrior of her time, even stronger than your father, King Jargue. Her very presence carries the scent of death. She is surrounded by the spirits of thousands she has slain in battle."
Bara looked at Grangya, astonished. "Just how strong are you?"
Grangya's gaze softened. "I haven't fully regained my magic yet," she replied. "Recovering my strength will take time. And I don't plan to do much killing in this new life."
