The divination was extremely unfavorable, but there was a sense of hidden fortune within the danger. In other words, there was still a chance of success, and that chance lay in Zhuo Luo.
Zhuo Luo was unaware of all of this. He was focused solely on cultivating and becoming stronger.
He had already managed to draw a thread of qi, and now he needed to strengthen his power further. If he could condense more qi, he would be able to wield it.
"Hahaha! Now I have a chance to become stronger! Wait for me, my friends! I'll be even more powerful, just wait!"
Zhuo Luo felt that his power was already becoming solidified. It wouldn't be long before he could use this newfound strength.
He had locked in the final piece of his strength. Within his dantian, there was now a source of energy capable of generating qi on its own. This was a game-changer for him, and his power had already shifted.
"How long has it been, though? It feels like just a day or two. Never mind, as long as I have the power, I'm sure I can change the situation. At this point, I should be able to kill that guy without even using qi!"
Zhuo Luo clearly felt that his strength had grown significantly. He had previously lost to his opponent due to various reasons, but now, things were different. With his enhanced strength, he was confident he could easily overpower them.
"I should go out and see what's going on. I wonder if the Shadow Sect has made a move yet."
He felt a sense of satisfaction with his current power, though he still had no idea what level he had reached. Was he strong or weak? At that moment, it didn't matter.
He opened the door to the secret room, his heart filled with uncertainty. He didn't know if the Shadow Sect had acted yet. If they had, would anyone in the Zhuo family survive? With no one capable of challenging the Sect, that thought made him uneasy. He was unsure of what was happening, but it was all his fault. He had caused this situation alone.
Still, he stepped out, ready to face whatever came his way. Maybe it wouldn't be as bad as he feared.
When he opened the door, he felt a wave of relief. Everything seemed unchanged. It hadn't gotten worse yet, so he didn't need to worry too much.
"Luckily, I haven't missed the timing. I've succeeded, though I'm not sure how many days have passed. It couldn't have been too long, right?"
Zhuo Luo knew that he hadn't missed anything, so he didn't dwell on it. As long as he hadn't missed his opportunity, he could change everything now.
"What's this? Did he really do it?"
Zhuo Wei, who had been organizing accounts, suddenly sensed a faint qi presence. It wasn't very strong, but its sudden appearance could only mean one thing—this had to be Zhuo Luo!
Zhuo Wei rushed to the source of the sensation, and sure enough, it was Zhuo Luo. He couldn't believe it. Zhuo Luo had actually managed to do it, and in far less time than Zhuo Wei himself had anticipated.
"Hm? I think I can sense other people's qi now. Is this the power that comes from cultivating qi?"
Zhuo Luo suddenly realized that he could now detect multiple qi signatures. These were familiar, but they no longer felt distant. Now, it was as though he could reach out and touch them.
"Someone is coming. This presence is quite strong—it must be my father! But if his power is this strong, then does that mean the lord of North Valley is even stronger?"
Zhuo Luo could easily identify Zhuo Wei's qi, as it was the most distinct. But strangely, it didn't feel much different from the Shadow Sect's qi—not very powerful, not very distinct.
Now, Zhuo Luo understood. Such levels of power were quite ordinary, even weak in comparison to what he expected.
"Indeed, it's you. How did you manage this?"
Zhuo Wei's voice rang out from a distance, his tone brimming with suppressed joy. It was clear he had been waiting for this moment for quite some time, but the wait had been much shorter than expected.
"I did it. This was nothing difficult for me!"
Zhuo Luo still felt that this was quite easy. Though he had used other methods, as long as the result was the same, it didn't matter how he got there. What mattered was the outcome.
"You really are from the Zhuo family. It seems the world still wants us to rise. Go rest now. It must not have been easy to reach this point."
Zhuo Wei observed his son. The sight of him, disheveled and worn, was a clear testament to his effort. Clearly, Zhuo Luo had put in a lot of work over a short period.
"This isn't urgent. How long did it actually take? I'm curious. It feels like only five or six days passed."
Zhuo Luo was very concerned about this. After all, they had made an agreement, and he needed to understand what had really happened.
"No mistake. It wasn't long. Thirty-six days. That's incredibly fast. It seems your potential could reach North Valley's level—or even surpass it. But did you cultivate using the ancient method?"
Zhuo Wei was overjoyed. His son's achievements were truly remarkable. It was as if the Zhuo family's fortunes were rising.
"Thirty-six days? I feel like it's only been five or six days. I haven't even practiced the ancient method. Just cultivating qi alone has taken so much time!"
"It's normal. This is cultivation. Once you start, it never ends. But your aptitude is excellent. Reaching this level in such a short time is impressive."
"I want to spar. I want to see what I've gained in these thirty-six days."
Zhuo Luo suddenly said something that shocked Zhuo Wei—he wanted to spar with him! Where did this confidence come from? But Zhuo Wei agreed, eager to see just what his son was capable of.
