Asa kicked the two of them away. Although he had restrained his immense power, it was still enough to kill those two scumbags.
When a group of young men saw this, their blood boiled with excitement, and they all surrounded Asa. However, their small-time leader had a bit of foresight. Noticing Asa's extraordinary strength, he discreetly retreated toward the port.
Asa glanced at the fleeing leader but didn't bother pursuing him. Instead, he reached out toward the ground.
"Electromagnetic—Iron Sand Sword!!"
Iron sand began to seep from the soil, gathering and forming in his palm. It took shape as an incredibly sharp sword with constantly flowing grains of iron sand, resembling a chainsaw cutting through anything in its path.
Tiny wisps of electricity flickered along the blade, making a roaring sound. Anyone with a keen eye could tell that this sword was exceptionally deadly.
"A Devil Fruit user?"
"Run!"
These men had followed Capone Bege's mafia on countless conquests, so they had experience with Devil Fruit users. They knew full well that such opponents were not to be trifled with, and all had the same thought—escape.
However, Asa had no intention of letting them get away. To him, this island, blessed by God with hope and sunshine, was sacred. He wouldn't allow anyone to defile it.
"Zzzzzssssssssssss!"
A brilliant blue sword beam crackled from the iron sand sword. The astonishing power of the attack split all the mafiosi in half.
The electric blade didn't stop there. Its force carried on, slicing through a small forest a hundred meters away before finally dissipating.
"T-This... he's actually this strong?" Avrora watched Asa slaughter everyone in a single strike, her eyes widening in disbelief.
But she quickly snapped out of her daze and shouted, "Where's the leader?! Kill him now! Otherwise, Capone Bege will come after us with the entire mafia!"
"Huh? How is that my problem?" Asa glanced at her indifferently. "They were after you, weren't they?"
In truth, Asa had deliberately let the leader escape. Otherwise, with his Observation Haki covering the entire area, he could have easily struck him down, even dozens of miles away.
But there was a reason he allowed the man to flee—the Fortress Fruit.
If that leader didn't return with reinforcements, how else would Avrora be pressured into handing over the fruit?
The Fortress Fruit allowed its user to turn their body into a massive castle, perfect for storing supplies or even living beings—a literal mobile fortress.
Asa had already eaten the Thunder Fruit, meaning he couldn't consume another. However, he hadn't forgotten that in this world, even inanimate objects could be made to eat Devil Fruits.
Dr. Vegapunk, a genius said to be 500 years ahead of humanity, had long since discovered this secret—the Elephant Sword at Enies Lobby was proof of that.
If Asa could obtain that technology, he could easily create a storage ring or necklace capable of holding endless supplies. Imagine never needing to worry about food or weapons again!
He had also considered an important question—could only Zoan-type fruits be fed to inanimate objects? But he wasn't about to limit himself without testing it firsthand.
Shifting the topic, Asa smirked and proposed, "Of course, if you hand over the Fortress Fruit right now, I'll go kill your leader immediately. How about it? Sounds like a fair trade, don't you think?"
"Hmph! No way!" Avrora remained wary, though she was clearly tempted. "If you want the Fortress Fruit, destroy Capone Bege's entire mafia first! Then I'll tell you where it is."
"Oh... then forget it." Asa clicked his tongue in disinterest and turned to leave.
"Wait!" Avrora clenched her teeth, glaring at him. "Fine! If you kill Capone Bege, I'll personally give you the fruit! That's my final offer!"
"Kill Capone Bege?" Asa rubbed his chin, weighing the pros and cons. With his strength, taking out a mafia boss wouldn't be difficult.
However, what he didn't expect was that Capone Bege was only 16 years old at this time—just like himself. Even at such a young age, Bege was already beginning his conquest of the West Blue mafia.
He truly was destined to be one of the Supernovas… a man known as the "Godfather."
"Fate works in strange ways," Asa mused. "I never expected to cross paths with two Supernovas already—Urouge from Sky Island and Capone Bege from the West Blue."
But he didn't dwell on it too much.
After all, with his current power, he could fight against an Admiral. He might not win, but he certainly wouldn't lose miserably. At the very least, he could battle for days and still have the strength to escape.
"Fine, but how do I know you're not lying?" Asa narrowed his eyes at Avrora. "For all I know, you don't even have the fruit."
His meaning was obvious.
"You—!" Avrora seethed in anger but had no choice. She knew full well that without showing some sincerity, there was no reason for Asa to help her. Only an idiot would agree to a deal without proof.
On the Open Sea…
A dilapidated boat drifted slowly. With no sail, it relied solely on the wind to move forward. Asa and Avrora stood at the bow, gazing ahead.
"With this wind direction, it should take us about two hours to reach Elbaf Island," Avrora said grimly. "One of Capone Bege's top enforcers—Gotti—is stationed there. He's extremely dangerous… and the Fortress Fruit is on that island."
"I don't care who's there. They're all just trash," Asa replied dismissively. "It'll just take a little time to clean up."
He wasn't concerned. There was no one in the West Blue strong enough to be his match. No matter how feared this "Killer" Gotti was, Asa knew that no one could withstand God's Judgment.
If there really was someone strong, he welcomed the fight.
After all, the only person from the West Blue that he truly acknowledged was "Red-Haired" Shanks.
The rest? Nothing but weaklings.
"Y-You arrogant bastard!" Avrora was furious at Asa's dismissive attitude. Her whole body trembled with rage, her teeth clenched so hard they might crack.
If she had the power to beat him, she would have already charged in and ripped a chunk of flesh off him.
Her chest rose and fell as she struggled to contain herself. Inwardly, she cursed him.
"Damn bastard, keep underestimating Killer Gotti all you want! If you die, don't blame me for not warning you!"
Of course, she still needed Asa's help, so she couldn't reveal her true thoughts. Instead, she rolled her eyes and said slyly, "Well, why not consider my suggestion? If you kill Capone Bege, you could take over his mafia and become the Godfather of the West Blue."
"Godfather of the West Blue?" Asa scoffed in disdain.
Why would he waste his time ruling over some petty crime syndicate?
The West Blue was vast, but how many true powerhouses did it have?
Being a "big fish in a small pond" meant nothing to him. He didn't want to play king of the underworld—he wanted to shake the entire world.
The World Government had offered him supreme power, but he didn't care.
The only reason he set sail was to fight the strongest.
Because only that kind of battle… that kind of life… could bring him true happiness.
