Chapter 51: Cone of Green Pepper

The two clashed before swiftly retreating more than ten meters, their eyes locked in intense focus.

"Hahahaha!" Asa laughed excitedly. Every time he encountered a formidable opponent, his enthusiasm for the thrilling life of the open sea grew even stronger. "Let me witness the power of Armament Haki!"

He wanted to test his own ability to use Armament Haki and see if he could grasp its essence.

BOOM!!!

Asa stomped forward forcefully, causing a deafening explosion beneath his feet. The impact left a massive crater in the ground, with cracks spreading outward in all directions.

In an instant, propelled by the sheer physical strength enhanced by lightning, Asa closed the distance to Lao Cai.

Whoosh!!

His open palms clenched into fists, sending powerful gusts of wind roaring outward as lightning crackled around them.

Lao Cai's expression darkened, but he remained composed. He knew that trying to match the Thunder Fruit in speed was a fool's errand. The only way to counter it was through unwavering defense.

Gripping his naginata with both hands, he raised it, and the sharp blade was instantly coated with a layer of dark Armament Haki, ready to meet Asa's steel-like fists.

Clang!!

The sound of metal colliding echoed through the surroundings as the resulting shockwave blasted the ground, sending dust and debris flying.

Asa's fist struck the blade as if hitting a thick iron wall. A sharp pain shot from his fingertips to his brain.

"Going head-to-head with just my body and Armament Haki alone is a disadvantage. I need to master its application properly." Though he felt pain, Asa's expression remained unchanged. Instead, he grew even more excited from the challenge.

He thirsted for battle and the thrill of combat.

"What an incredible body... He's actually matching my Haki with just his flesh?! Is this what Whitebeard is like?" Lao Cai's face grew solemn. "If he used his Thunder Fruit abilities, I wouldn't stand a chance. It seems... I'll have to call for Grandpa!"

His grandfather was none other than the pillar of the Eight Treasures Navy—Don Chinjao.

As the two warriors remained locked in a stalemate, the Eight Treasures Navy troops, drawn by the commotion, gathered from all directions.

Asa cracked his neck before vanishing into a blur of motion. His body left behind dozens of afterimages—so fast that they lingered as if time had momentarily frozen.

Lao Cai's face twisted in alarm. He couldn't react in time to such overwhelming speed. Cold sweat dripped from his forehead.

"Deputy Leader, behind you!!"

Hearing the desperate warning from his crew, Lao Cai instinctively swung his naginata in a wide arc behind him.

"Hahahaha! Too late!"

Asa's voice rang out just as his figure materialized behind Lao Cai. His hands locked around Lao Cai's wrist before he could complete his swing.

Realizing the danger, Lao Cai immediately abandoned his weapon. A surge of energy enveloped his body as he activated his technique.

"Eight Impact Fist!!"

A misty white aura erupted, attempting to push Asa away.

"Break!!"

Asa's thick arms bulged with veins. With a low growl, he forced his way through the energy barrier using brute strength, his grip tightening around Lao Cai's arms.

"Now wake up!"

Asa exerted immense force, lifting Lao Cai into the air before hurling him toward the Eight Treasures Navy troops.

BOOM!!

A deafening crash followed by screams filled the air as Lao Cai's body plowed through a row of his own subordinates.

Asa's ability to enhance his body with electricity granted him terrifying speed, second only to instantaneous teleportation via lightning.

The once-mighty Lao Cai now struggled to even stand.

"I wanted to learn Armament Haki training from you, but I didn't expect you to be this disappointing in battle," Asa sighed, still full of energy. His sharp gaze shifted toward the remaining high-ranking warriors of the Eight Treasures Navy.

These were the same pirates who once roamed the New World as a fearsome force, even clashing with legendary figures at the pinnacle of power. Yet, under Asa's piercing gaze, none dared to meet his eyes.

"Where is Don Chinjao? Let him come out..."

Logically, someone like Don Chinjao, with his powerful Observation Haki, should have noticed what was happening.

Asa wasn't disappointed by the lack of a response. He unleashed his own Haki, sensing a massive figure approaching quickly, accompanied by several subordinates.

He didn't have to wait long. Soon, a group of figures came into view.

Asa's eyes immediately locked onto a massive man, standing between four and five meters tall, with a heavily built frame.

At this point in time, Don Chinjao was far from the elderly warrior he would become decades later. Instead, he appeared to be in his fifties, with a long beard streaked with gray. A dark green cloak draped over his back, and the number "12" was tattooed prominently at the junction of his brows and temples, signifying his status as the Twelfth Generation Pillar of the Eight Treasures Navy.

"Don Chinjao?" Asa licked the corner of his mouth, his fiery gaze locking onto the flat head before him.

That single glance instantly enraged Don Chinjao. His head was his greatest insecurity—a taboo topic no one dared to mention.

"You brat... are you mocking my head?!"

In an instant, green veins bulged across Don Chinjao's once-calm face. His gray beard lifted from the sheer force of the aura surging around him. What had been a wise, aged warrior now resembled a furious demon!

The oppressive force radiating from his body sent nearby sailors tumbling away. Don Chinjao strode forward like a war chariot of flesh and bone.

The true essence of the Eight Impact Fist filled the air with suffocating intensity. A misty white energy rose and fell around him, and his bald head was instantly coated in a dense layer of Armament Haki.

"Eight Impact Fist: Headbutt!!"

With a deafening battle cry, Don Chinjao launched himself forward. His powerful stomp shattered the already ruined ground beneath him.

His massive body soared through the air, plummeting toward Asa like a meteor, his iron-hard skull poised for impact.

A falling meteor, a crashing mountain!

The sheer weight of his body, combined with the speed and force of the descent, made this technique utterly terrifying—far stronger than Lao Cai's version of the Eight Impact Fist.

As his opponent hurtled toward him, Asa's eyes gleamed with excitement.

Even without his legendary cone-shaped head or a king's battle aura, Don Chinjao was still in his prime. His raw physical strength alone far surpassed that of the physically untrained Admiral Kizaru.

Zzzzt—Zzzzt—!!

Electricity crackled wildly as Asa pulled back his fist. His abdomen tensed, and a powerful electromagnetic field formed around his clenched hand.

"You're finished, brat!!"

Don Chinjao's voice boomed as he descended like an unstoppable meteor, the pressure around him tearing through the air.

"Thunder Fist!!"

Asa roared, the sheer force of the attack sending his blue cloak billowing violently behind him. His fist, charged with brilliant electricity, shot forward, colliding with the descending behemoth.
